Stampin' Up!'s OCCASIONS MINI CATALOG expires on April 30. We have 19 days to take advantage of all the wonderful products in this mini. One of my favorites is the Pompom Trim on page 35. I love the colors ~ Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight ~ and just the idea of adding such a cute accessory to cards, scrapbook pages and 3-D items! Here is something new that you can do with this trim ~
Let me know if you'd like more information ~ Susan Elise, your stamp teacher
Three cheers for our new trim! Little fluffy pompoms adorn this custom-dyed trim to coordinate with all your crafty creations.
Approx. 1/4" wide. Approx. 5 yards per spool. 100% nylon, three colors ~ Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight. You can find it on page 35 of the Occasions Mini Catalog ~ along with many other new accessories in the oh sew suite collection.
I used the pom pom trim to decorate these containers (the plastic containers that Stampin' Up! send to us holding buttons and brads) for my Southern Stars meeting on Saturday morning. The pom pom trim holds easily, and well, with Sticky Strip. Each attendee received one of these filled with flower brads!
I wanted to show you one more card that I made using the SMOOCH PEARLIZED ACCENT INK. This is the Moonlight ink (#119969) and it actually does show a little more of the illumination that this ink provides to your projects. This is stamped on Basic Black card stock ((#121045) and mounted on Garden Green card stock (#102584).
The stamp set is one of my current favorites ~ can you tell? It is GROWING GREEN (#120624), set of 4 on page 108 in Stampin' Up!'s Idea Book & Catalog. There are four images but I have only used the one you see here. LOL, I guess I had better try out the others! Thanks for checking my blog today. If you have any suggestions for what you would like to see let me know!! Susan Elise
Another sample using Stampin' Up!'s GOLD LAMESMOOCH INK, this one on Whisper White card stock. And, again, it is so much better 'in person' if you know what I mean ~ more sparkle! With this card I stamped the design (from the GROWING GREEN stamp set, #120624, set of 4) using Jet Black StazOn Ink, # 101406 (it is a quick-drying permanent ink) and added the Gold Lame Smook Pearlized Accent Ink, #119968. The ink bottle looks like nail polish but the applicator is not a brush with bristles but a 'brush' one piece applicator. The variation in color happens as the ink is used up on the applicator. It creates sparkles on each of the leaves even though it varies in intensity. You can find these inks on page 195 in Stampin' Up!'s current Idea Book & Catalog. I think you will like using them as they are very easy and quick to use and create a WOW effect. Stop by the Cat/Art Studio to try them out! se
This card is lovely 'in person' but looses alot because the camera can't pick up the sparkle to show you ~ sorry! Try it yourself ~ you'll be amazed at what this ink does! se
Yesterday's BUTTONS AND BRADS transformed! Last Saturday night my best friend, Phyllis, and I were 'playing' with the buttons and brads AND Magnet Sheets (#119816) on page 205 in Stampin' Up!'s Idea Book and Catalog. We put a brad in each of the buttons above, punched out a magnet circle using the 3/4" Circle Punch (#119873) and adhered it with Crystal Effects (another good use for that wonderful little bottle!).
GIFT IDEA ~ A boxed set of cards for my upcoming hostesses. I used Note Cards (#107311), Punch Bunch sale-a-bration stamp set (FREE during Stampin' Up!'s promotion this month). Once I tied the cute ribbon (another sale-a-bration product) I added one of the magnets with a Dimensional.
BOOK YOUR PARTY and receive one of the Hostess Gifts above. It's easy ~ your house or mine ~ just invite your friends and I'll do all the 'work'. It's a great way to entertain, get some new crafting ideas and YOU, the Hostess, will get to choose free Stampin' Up! product. I would love to share my ideas with you! Call or email me now! More than just a stamp case....this is a notebook that I made with one of my STAMPCLUBS this month ~ and, will be making with my other Stamp Clubs next month. I used the CD stamp cases above. I inserted Designer Series Paper in the front and back (very easy to do as the description of the set and the picture fit right in ~ so does the DSP) and decorated the outside with an initial (Serif Essentials Alphabet, #113464, page 207 in the Idea Book & Catalog), seam tape, lace and a TRINKET KEY (#121892, page 24, Occasions Mini Catalog). i inserted a Jr. Legal Pad inside (have an inch trimmed off at one of the office stores) and decorated the top. Too cute ~ AND, very practical ~ we all need to have a pad of paper and pen (fits inside) available, right????
