Look what arrived in my mail box on Monday, don't you just LOVE wonderful mail box surprises? This darling little tissue holder and card are from my friend, Deb, who serves on the Advisory Board with me. She is a very special lady ~ very talented with her sewing machine AND in her stamp room!
Everything is made using Stampin' Up!'s Summer Smooches products ~ fabric, Designer Series Paper and the stamp set, Bright Blossoms. Stampin' Up! is introducing us to these products for the month of April. They will be in the new catalog (June 1 ~ do you believe it?) except for the fabric covered brads. They will not be available ever again (I don't know why ~ sorry) so, if you want to coordinate the DSP or fabric with the brads NOW is the time to order. The Summer Smooches Fabric Designer Brads, #125589, are $6.95 and there are 24 brads in the package. Let me know if you are interested and I will add them to my order tomorrow morning. Thanks for stopping by the Cat/Art Studio!
This lovely lady, Beverly Kelly, is the lady who helped me become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator thirteen years ago in May of this year. She was a Demonstrator at the time, sideline to me, and she was the one who taught me everything I needed to know when I first started. She came to TEA on Sunday afternoon and we had a lovely time on a rainy dreary day stamping, eating and catching up.
Here's my little bunny tea pot ~ especially for Spring teas. And, look at the yummy cupcakes that Rosie made for my Tea Party!
Melissa Burroughs (of the Wild Wasabi Women stamp club) has been busy creating pretty prizes for a raffle and fund raiser for one of her husband's civic groups. I thought you would like to see pictures of her projects!
My friend, Adrienne, just stopped over (she is my across the street friend) to borrow my Basic Black ink refill. She brought two ancient stamp pads ~ really geriatric! I have never seen two worse looking Stampin' Up! stamp pads in my life! I will put them on the blog tomorrow so you can see what they look like. But, tonight I wanted to share her lovely framed Advent Calendar. She is the QUEEN OF MY DIGITAL STUDIO and a lot of what you will see is from the My Digital Studio download of the stamp set on page 37 in the Holiday Mini Catalog ~ 25 & Counting, #123794 (c) and #123792 (w). She also has added a lot of little stickies that she has collected over the years (Adrienne never throws anything away!). The results are fabulous and she said that I could share her creation with you. So, enjoy Adrienne's beautiful work!
Saturday was a lovely day! I took a class in the morning ~ Michelle Zindorf's Brayer Class (she is a fabulous lady and I loved the class ~ more tomorrow) and in the afternoon I had a visit from a friend of mine. Ella often comes to class with her Mom, Eve Autrey, or her GrandMom, Janie Dodge, and she loves to stamp! She is five and is a very focused five year old. I am always amazed at what she accomplishes and what an advanced little stamper she is. I attribute that to spending lots of time in her GrandMom's stamping studio!!!! So my lovely Valentine above is for all of you, made by Ella, to share with my best friends ~ enjoy!
Madison Sherman came to myMOMMY AND ME CLASS this month. This week I got a thank you card that Madi made and sent to me. I wanted to show you what a nice job she did!
Madi, thank you so much for such a nice card. I appreciate your thoughtfulness. This is a good lesson that we can all take to heart as we open our presents tomorrow morning. Don't forget how much a thank you will mean to the person who spent their time and effort to give you something special.
Alan and I are having a difficult Christmas as our beloved kitty had been in intensive care since Tuesday. It is hard for us to deal with. I will keep you informed but right now all we can do is pray for the angels to watch over her. Hugs and Merry Christmas, Susan Elise
And, I think I almost sat on him! On Friday, I took some time off to stamp with friends ~ what a treat! I stamped with my friend, Phyllis, and her sister, Robin. Robin is from New York state and is here for the weekend. It is always nice to see her and she took Phyllis and me to lunch ~ thank you Robin!!!
This is Phyllis' Stamp Room and we had a very busy time as you can tell! I took two projects for us to do and Phyllis coordinated out third project, below. Isn't it gorgeous????? I love it ~ and it is an easy to medium card ~ YOU can do it!
Friday was so relaxing and such fun ~ I hope you have time to stamp with friends soon! What a treat! Oh, would you like directions for this great card???? How about tomorrow? I have to get ready for the first meeting for the HOLIDAY RECIPE SWAP this afternoon! Hugs, Susan Elise
