Look what arrived in my mail box on Monday, don't you just LOVE wonderful mail box surprises? This darling little tissue holder and card are from my friend, Deb, who serves on the Advisory Board with me. She is a very special lady ~ very talented with her sewing machine AND in her stamp room!
Everything is made using Stampin' Up!'s Summer Smooches products ~ fabric, Designer Series Paper and the stamp set, Bright Blossoms. Stampin' Up! is introducing us to these products for the month of April. They will be in the new catalog (June 1 ~ do you believe it?) except for the fabric covered brads. They will not be available ever again (I don't know why ~ sorry) so, if you want to coordinate the DSP or fabric with the brads NOW is the time to order. The Summer Smooches Fabric Designer Brads, #125589, are $6.95 and there are 24 brads in the package. Let me know if you are interested and I will add them to my order tomorrow morning. Thanks for stopping by the Cat/Art Studio!
I know that purses are all the rage and that you have been invited to a 31 PARTY, right? Well, this little evening purse is not part of the 31 line but it is from Stampin' Up! Isn't it too cute? I saw a similar one on a post from another demonstrator last week and knew that I had to make one for myself and my friends. It is Basic Black card stock, cut out using the Petite Purse Bigz L Die (#125606) from Stampin' Up's SUMMER SMOOCHES Promotion ~ a line of lively products that includes a stamp set, Bright Blossoms, DSP, Fabric, Brads and lovely Daffodil Delight seam binding.
I scored the box using Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scored Diagonal Plate (#125586) a must for making your own fabulous envelopes and quick and easy boxes. To complete this elegant evening purse I added the pearls from the Idea Book & Catalog ~ Basic Pearls (#119247) ~ you get 150 of three sizes of pearls. The adhesive is on the back of the pearls so that you can easily transfer them to your project. One more cute little purse tomorrow ~ see you then! se
I know that you are dying to use that designer series paper that you got for FREE during Sale-A-Bration ~ Everyday Enchantment ~ it is so pretty! Here is a little FLIP BOOK that I made at several of my parties in March, everyone thought it was lots of fun. It would be a great album for recipe cards, a scrapbook for someone special or even a little 'smash' book! And, it would look great in any of Stampin' Up!'s fabulous double sided 12" x 12" designer series papers!
Supplies: Designer Series Paper; Crop-A-Dile (#108362, page 207 IB&C); Paper Cutter (#104152 w cutting and scoring blades (#104154, page 208 IB&C); Ribbon of your choice; Accessory of your choice (mine is a retired piece from Stampin' Up!'s Hodgepodge Hardware) ~ you could use pretty Antique Brads to hold your card stock to the ribbon. I used 2 binder rings to hold the DSP together.
Cut your paper six inches wide by 12", 11", 10", 9", 8" and 7". Score in the center of the length of paper and fold. Layer the pieces according to the size with the smallest (7" folded) on top. I added a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of the cardboard from the bottom of the Designer Series Paper to the inside of the largest (12") folded layer for strength.
Punch two holes in the top (the non-fold side) approximately 1" from each side and 1/2" down using the Crop-A-Dile (punch all layers at the same time). Before you add the binder rings decorate your top layer and your album is finished. Enjoy!
Summer Smooches refers to Stampin' Up!'s special promotion for April, 2012 ~ a suite of products that will be introduced NOW and will be part of the NEW catalog on June 1st!
My favorite without a doubt is the NEW PETITE PURSE BIGZ L DIE!
Yesterday I mentioned how much I was going to miss this Designer Series Paper and here is another reason to miss it! I found this lovely Kraft Gift Box (#124106, 4 for $2.95) on Shelli's website as she posted her last projects for Sale-a-bration. She used the Paper Doily Die, #125592, and the stamp set, Loving Thoughts, #125845, both from the Occasions Mini Catalog.
If you need anything from the Sale-a-bration catalog, this week is your last chance. If you have a couple of things to order please feel free to order online on my Stampin' Up! website. If your order is $150 or more, please email me your order so that I can put it in for you. That way you will be sure to receive the special tote bag Stampin' Up! is giving away until the end of the month! Check it out below!
m & m's come in wonderful Spring colors and these eggs are just the right size for Stampin' Up!'s 1" x 8" Cellophane Bags (#124134). Our punches make the little bunny topper easy and fast. If you need more information, email me for the punches I used. This is an easy Easter treat!
Melissa Burroughs (of the Wild Wasabi Women stamp club) has been busy creating pretty prizes for a raffle and fund raiser for one of her husband's civic groups. I thought you would like to see pictures of her projects!
My friend, Adrienne, just stopped over (she is my across the street friend) to borrow my Basic Black ink refill. She brought two ancient stamp pads ~ really geriatric! I have never seen two worse looking Stampin' Up! stamp pads in my life! I will put them on the blog tomorrow so you can see what they look like. But, tonight I wanted to share her lovely framed Advent Calendar. She is the QUEEN OF MY DIGITAL STUDIO and a lot of what you will see is from the My Digital Studio download of the stamp set on page 37 in the Holiday Mini Catalog ~ 25 & Counting, #123794 (c) and #123792 (w). She also has added a lot of little stickies that she has collected over the years (Adrienne never throws anything away!). The results are fabulous and she said that I could share her creation with you. So, enjoy Adrienne's beautiful work!
I mentioned yesterday that I had used the Kraft Gift Boxes (#124106 on page 15 in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini Catalog) to make a gift box for Halloween so here it is. The top of the box is covered with Silver Glimmer Paper (#124005). I wish you could see it 'in person' ~ the sparkle is AMAZING! (I have used it on another project that I can't wait to show you ~ soon! In fact, I will be using it a lot as we get closer to the holidays!)
I used two different stamp sets, the one stamped on the top of the box is Scaredy Cat (#122557) and I know you know WHY I HAD to order that one!!!! It is our Jupiter on the top of the box!
The other stamp set is Wicked Cool (#118738) which I used on the sides of the box. Let me know if I can help you with any Halloween needs and thanks for stopping by today!
