One of my fabulous team members, Marion Swaim, made the smaller flowers for me using the Layering Punches. Stampin' Up! has two different ones ~ the Doily Triple Layer (#122465) and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer (#122464). These punches give you three coordinating punch images in just one punch!
The gorgeous flower in the front of the flower pot was made with a Bigz Die, Daisies #2 (#114520) and the Big Shot.
Of course the flowers could be made in any color to go with your home decor or on a pretty tea table. Speaking of tea tables, I hope you will join me on the afternoon of Sunday, March 25, for my Tea Party Open House. Join me any time between 2 and 4 in the Cat/Art Studio for some fun stamping, goodies and a cup of tea (please bring your tea cup!). The supply fee for the open house is $5.
CJ is a member of my Stampin' Up! team (Southern Stars) who lives in Ft. Bragg, NC. Her husband is deployed and they have three sons. She is an enthusiastic stamper and created this piece as a baby shower gift. She sent me a picture so I asked her if I could share it with you. Thanks, CJ! Love it!
CJ also made a suggestion in response to my question about making changes in 2012. So far, she is the lonly one and will be the recipient of a $25 Gift Certificate! Any one else have suggestions? I know you do!!!
And, if YOU have ever thought about becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator ~ Stampin' Up! has a special offer for YOU coming soon!
My friend, Adrienne, just stopped over (she is my across the street friend) to borrow my Basic Black ink refill. She brought two ancient stamp pads ~ really geriatric! I have never seen two worse looking Stampin' Up! stamp pads in my life! I will put them on the blog tomorrow so you can see what they look like. But, tonight I wanted to share her lovely framed Advent Calendar. She is the QUEEN OF MY DIGITAL STUDIO and a lot of what you will see is from the My Digital Studio download of the stamp set on page 37 in the Holiday Mini Catalog ~ 25 & Counting, #123794 (c) and #123792 (w). She also has added a lot of little stickies that she has collected over the years (Adrienne never throws anything away!). The results are fabulous and she said that I could share her creation with you. So, enjoy Adrienne's beautiful work!
Stamp you images onto tissue paper using classic ink stamp pads. You may also add color with chalks, a wheel or, gently, with colored pencils. If you want the image to be embossed, stamp your image with a Craft ink stamp pad, sprinkle embossing powder over the image and heat.
Tear tissue to fit your candle. This is better than cutting, which sometimes leaves an obvious edge when adhered to the candle.
Using the 2-Way Glue Pen, put a couple of small swipes of glue on to the back of the tissue paper so it stays when placed on the candle. Position tissue on candle , smooth into place.
Turn the Heat Tool on and move it around until you see the wax begin to melt. It will appear shiny. Continue to move the Heat Tool around so the entire piece of tissue paper is melted in to the candle wax.
If the wax begins to puddle or drip, quickly roll your candle back and forth on a scrap paper, it will smooth right out.
When your candle burns down, drop a tea light inside to extend the life of your candle.
This will make a pretty addition to any Thanksgiving table or on your side table this Fall. Thanks for stopping by! Susan Elise
