I know that you are dying to use that designer series paper that you got for FREE during Sale-A-Bration ~ Everyday Enchantment ~ it is so pretty! Here is a little FLIP BOOK that I made at several of my parties in March, everyone thought it was lots of fun. It would be a great album for recipe cards, a scrapbook for someone special or even a little 'smash' book! And, it would look great in any of Stampin' Up!'s fabulous double sided 12" x 12" designer series papers!
Supplies: Designer Series Paper; Crop-A-Dile (#108362, page 207 IB&C); Paper Cutter (#104152 w cutting and scoring blades (#104154, page 208 IB&C); Ribbon of your choice; Accessory of your choice (mine is a retired piece from Stampin' Up!'s Hodgepodge Hardware) ~ you could use pretty Antique Brads to hold your card stock to the ribbon. I used 2 binder rings to hold the DSP together.
Cut your paper six inches wide by 12", 11", 10", 9", 8" and 7". Score in the center of the length of paper and fold. Layer the pieces according to the size with the smallest (7" folded) on top. I added a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of the cardboard from the bottom of the Designer Series Paper to the inside of the largest (12") folded layer for strength.
Punch two holes in the top (the non-fold side) approximately 1" from each side and 1/2" down using the Crop-A-Dile (punch all layers at the same time). Before you add the binder rings decorate your top layer and your album is finished. Enjoy!
Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Mini Catalog will not expire until the end of next month (April 30) ~ thank heaven! There are still products and samples that I want to show you AND that you might want to add to your stamping and scrapping collection!
Today's product is some delightful stickers (did I say stickers ~ YES, stickers!). Stampin' Up! doesn't do stickers very often and these are particularly colorful and fun! You know I love colorful! Check these out on page 32 of the mini catalog ~ Sweet Shop Designer Stickers, #125584, ~ 4 sheets of clear stickers for $6.95. They are so much fun and would even be great to add to a fun EASTER BASKET which is right around the corner.
I promised you a video and here it is! This will give you a better idea how to use Stampin' Up!'s new Simply Scored Diagonal Plate. This is a great new tool to go with the Simply Scored tool. I love it and I'm sure you will too! I used mine to make envelopes with my stamp club (Wild Wasabi Women!) last night and they loved it too!
This gorgeous card was in the January issue of STAMPIN' SUCCESS which is sent to all SU Demonstrators each month. It is full of creative ideas and business ideas ~ just one of the many resources available as a Demonstrator! You would love it! In fact, if you are interested I have some old copies that I would be willing to share with you. Let me know and I will choose one and put it in the mail to you.
This card uses Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details, #125585. A 6 ounce bottle of Dazzling Details has a fine-tip applicator which allowed me to 'trace' the flourish design from the Creative Elements stamp set, #122647 (c) or #122645 (w). I just drew a fine line with the glitter glue.
Dazzling Details (also available in clear, #124117) is acid free and nontoxic, so it's safe for scrapbook pages. It is economically priced at only $2.50. A little goes a long way! And, there is absolutely no mess!!!!
Thanks for stopping by ~ and, do take me up on my offer ~ you know you would love to see Stampin' Success 'in person'!
If you were a fan of the Sweet Press Cookie stamps we had over the holidays, then you are going to be as excited as I am about our new Spring editions to the Sweet Press Cookie collection.
These stamps bring your creativity into the kitchen. The kids can help make all the sweet treats. Your family and friends will love getting these tasty treats as well.
With the release of the Occasions Mini Catalog comes a new product: Framelits.
The innovative, thin, wafer-like design of these dies lets you see where you’re placing the design before you cut! Layer dies inside each other to cut frames for stamp images. Cut single hearts or labels for accents or layering. Use with single sheets of card stock or Designer Series Paper. Hearts Collection coordinates with Take It to Heart Set (p. 14).
Labels Collection coordinates with Apothecary Art Set (p. 24). Largest label approx. 5-7/16" wide. Each collection includes 6 dies in a sturdy envelope for easy storage in our Big Shot Die storage.
Watch for samples using these great new products all month.
Sorry, two days ago I said that I would give you additional information about Stampin' Up!'s new product in the Occasions Mini Catalog ~ edgelits. And, I didn't because I needed to add some other information for you. So ~ here it is.
Edgelit Dies (#125595) are thin metal designs that cut card stock to form a pretty edge on your cards. The edgelit (there are two designs) is placed on the card stock and run through the Big Shot to cut. The edge on the card above is an example. The sandwich for the Big Shot is Tab 2, Cutting Plate, card stock, Edgelit, Cutting Plate.
Also, on the card above, you can see an embossed line next to the edge that is cut. Another new product is used to create that line ~ Adorning Accents Embossing Folders (#125601). This embossing folder is used after you cut the edge of your card stock to add the elegant embossed line.
Having Dotto (#103305) ~ tiny repositionable adhesive dots ~ is a benefit because the edgelit may shift slightly when you are running it through the Big Shot. I hope this information will help you. If you need more information, my next Big Shot Class will focus on these new products. It is scheduled for Thursday, February 23, at 6:30 PM. I try to have this class monthly but I will be in San Antonio for a week in January so I had to give up my January Big Shot Class. If you have quesitons, give me a call ~ 587-1548.
