When Shelli visited the Today Show last week she made the above cards to give to Kathie Lee and Hoda. Aren't they pretty? She has such a distinct style. She also gave them our Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps ~ if you want more information click on Recipe Swap on the right side of the blog under CATEGORIES ~ my recipe is there!
Shelli's appearance was to donate Stampin' Up! products to the Today Show Toy Drive.
Stamped Christmas Cookies and Kim's delicious Pumpkin-Cranberry Spice Cake
This is an easy recipe that works great with Stampin' Up!'s new COOKIE STAMPS (#125152 ~ includes a solid wood hangle with 3 interchangeable stamp images, 2 recipes, and tips for use, $16.95)
Oven temperature 350 degrees.
1 1/2 cups soft butter ~ no substitutes
3/4 cup sugar
3 cups of flour
Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add flour one cup at a time, mix well. Roll into one inch balls. Roll balls in sugar, place on ungreased cookie sheet. Stamp with SU Cookie Stamp (I used the snowflake). Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies ~ great with a cup of tea! Susan Elise
I still haven't tried this recipe ~ it is Eleise's recipe ~ from our RECIPE SWAP on Sunday afternoon but I wanted to post it because several people have asked (I guess they want to use it for Thanksgiving dinner!). I haven't had time to try it but I will when Alan and I get back from our little trip to Maryland! Here it is ~
Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts
Serves 8.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Two net bags of fresh Brussels Sprouts ( 1 1/2#)
Three tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
One tablespoon of Balsamic Vinegar, or to taste
One tablespoon of Butter, softened
Salt & pepper to taste
Wash, trim and halve the Brussels Sprouts, dry them in a salad spinner or with a kitchen towel. Toss the sprouts with the olive oil, salt and pepper and place on a baking sheet in one layer. Place them in the oven at 400 for 15 minutes, then turn the oven down to 325; cover the sprouts with tin foil and continue cooking for another 30 minutes. Check them once in a while and stir. Right before serving add the softened butter and the vinegar and mix well.
Eleise adds, 'This recipe is great for people who insist they don't like Brussels Sprouts!'
I wanted to add this picture ~ it was such a pleasure to have these three ladies at the RECIPE SWAP on Sunday afternoon ~ Marion, Sarah and Katie (Mother and daughters). Katie came all the way from Chicago and Sarah was looking fabulous after a very difficult year. Love the picture!

Thanks for stopping by and come back to hear more about this recipe ~ it may be a fantastic game changer for me ~ Brussels Sprouts on my plate!!!

I promise it will be something that you would love to have ~ or to give!
