This picture shows a Brusho Resist technique much like the Crayon Resist technique that we learned about yesterday at the Open House in the Cat/Art Studio! My January Brusho Class will be on Tuesday, January 30 ~ hope to see you then! And, I am having a Valentine Making Class the first Saturday in February ~ join me. Here are some interesting facts about Valentine's Day ~ particularly interesting is the fact that women send themselves flowers on Valentine's Day (may have to try that ~ or, at least a card!). I think we need an additional stat about 'handmade' Valentines ~ any suggestions?
You can find the SURE DO LOVE YOU BUNDLE on page 19 in Stampin' Up!'s OCCASIONS CATALOG. This bundle includes the stamp set and the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies. I made the pretty box, below, using the box die and the Painted with Love Specialty DSP. Print out the directions below and make your own OR do put my VALENTINE CLASS on your schedule. It will be the first weekend in February ~ Saturday, February 3. You can choose to come in the morning or the afternoon ~ either at 10 or 2 ~ it's up to you! You will make the box and three Valentines, the class fee is $15. Come and have some fun!
With Valentines Day coming up, I thought I would share this great So in Love stamp set and coordinating So Detailed thinlits from the Occasions catalog. You can find them on page 52 and, yes, there is a SO IN LOVE BUNDLE. They are such elegant products that they can be used for many romantic occasions ~ weddings, anniversaries, engagement parties or just to say I Love You. Stampin' Up! always has great ideas to pass on for new products and Carrie will show you ways to use the stamp set & thinlits in this video.

This cute little monster just makes me laugh! The stamp set is YUMMY IN MY TUMMY and you can find it on page 16 in Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Catalog. There are so many possibilities with this smiling creature (there is a second creature in the set but not nearly as cuddly!). Below are the products that I used to make this card ~ you can click on the picture to go directly to my online store if you would like to place an order ~ or, give me a call (641-9354). My Paper Pumpkin box arrived in my mail box this week and it is all about Valentine Treats. Here is a video that will provide you with more information from Stampin' Up! And, after the video I want to share some hints that I found from a demonstrator that had finished making all of her treats ~ her suggestions should make it easier for all of us.
1.Make this a project you make assembly line style. Do all of one thing, then move on. 2. Stamp the hearts before you punch them out. 3. Think about using one sentiment on all the bags. 4. Adhere the banners to the bags before assembling the bags, it is easier flat. 5. Pinch the gussets after the bag is made. 6. Be careful how you put the hearts on the dowel, I hope this will help you assemble your treats! Happy Valentine's Day!
I started this a week ago and finished it this morning so it has been sitting on my work table for a week! It was getting in my way but I could only work on it sporadically because of my classes and my open house events going on. It is 12 x 12 and uses all the products in the SENDING LOVE SUITE on page 14 and 15 in the Occasions Catalog. It was loads of fun to create because there ar so many stamps (27) and so many dies (14) in the SEALED WITH LOVE BUNDLE! I also used the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack and the Sending Love Embellishments. If you are interested in purchasing any of these products for Valentine's Day projects I will be placing an order tomorrow and will be sending it 2 DAY EXPRESS so that it arrives in a timely manner for Valentine projects. EMAIL ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! Janie Dodge sent me this picture earlier in the week and I asked her if I could save it for today. She said yes and here is her story..............
Ella, Kaitlyn and I made 72 of these matchbook M&M valentines. Each matchbook contains an snack size bag of M&M's. It took 2 of their 4 snow days. I made the matchbooks and they colored the greeting on the outside.
I was so proud that we had finished them two weeks ahead. When they went to school they were told they could distribute the valentines, but not the candy inside. That ruined Valentine's Day for them until I told them they now had a personal stockpile of M&M's that will last till Halloween (one per week).
