Blending Brushes Class 101

IMG_6215You can find our fabulous BLENDING BRUSHES on page 70 in the Mini Catalog!  They are so soft and easy to use ~ much better than sponges or sponge daubers ~ you will love them.  My next 101 CLASS is on Friday, April 30, at 6 PM in the studio.  The class will be small and you will need to bring your brushes with you (or, I may have brushes that you can get as part of the class ~ just let me know).  I have four stampers signed up for the class but the class can hold six so if you would like to join us ~ give me a call ~ 641-9354.

In the 101 CLASS you will learn six techniques.  The picture below (my studio bulletin board) shows samples of the techniques along with an information card describing the technique and providing some 'how to' hints.  You will have the cards and make the samples in class.  More information on the 102 CLASS and a PDF for you tomorrow!

A retiring beauty........

I know that you remember this beauty, and perhaps even have it in your collection of favorite stamp sets.  GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIA has been a favorite for several years ~ along with a Memories & More Card Pack ~ Magnolia Lane ~ and some very fine DSP with the same title.  The stamp set is retiring this year and the other products have retired (but, I have some left of both ~ let me know if you are interested ~ I will package them up for you for the cost of the postage to send them to you or, pick them up, they're FREE!).  More fabulous samples ~

Another reason to visit the Botanical Gardens....

IMG_6187.....is an art exhibit!  The artist is Caroline Garrett Hardy who trained as a printmaker and now works mostly in paper.  She is fascinated, and works with, a variety of different papers ranging from hand-made Japanese papers to throw-away materials like commercial brochures, napkins and restaurant menus.  She has a deep admiration for Japanese artistic endeavors from a trip to Japan in 2012 and I thought you would enjoy seeing some of her colorful creations.  After all, we work in paper too!  Smile.
