Stamp Club

I am starting a new STAMPIN' UP! STAMP CLUB in June and I thought you might be interested.  So far I have Monica, Cristy, Cyndi and Laura signed up for the new Stamp Club.  I want to start with six members so if you are interested please send me an email or give me a call (757-587-1548).  I would love to have you join us and promise you'll enjoy all six meetings!!!

My Stamp Clubs work like this:  Each member of the Club agrees to order $25.00 of Stampin' Up! product (from any of our catalogs) each time we meet.  We meet for six months.  Each of the members of the Club becomes a HOSTESS FOR ONE MONTH receiving a Hostess Stamp Set and Hostess Dollars to spend.  The date of the new Stamp Club will be Wednesday, June 23, and will start at 6:30 and last about 2 hours.  We will be making two projects, usually one card and one 3-D item.

My Stamp Clubs have made these two projects in May ~  the card is made with the stamp set, Watercolor Trio, and the Stampin' Around wheel, Sweet Swirls.  The favor box on the right is on page 27 of the Summer Mini Catalog.  The Party Favor Boxes come in one size with two designs.  You get 12 of these boxes, with belly bands, for $5.95.  The order number is #117178. We decorated it using the Tropical Party stamp set.  The flower is made with the Island Floral Bigz Die and vellum paper.  You can always order online ~ go to my website and go to the 'order now' button.  It is also where you will find Stampin' Up!'s Clearance Rack!  I won't be posting again until Tuesday so I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend.  God bless all of our veterans and our troops.

Recipe Swap Album & more...

Janie w her album May 2010Janie's album up closeHere's Janie on Sunday with her finished album cover for our SUMMER RECIPE SWAP.  We used the 'KING OF THE GRILL' from the stamp set with the same name from Stampin' Up!'s SUMMER MINI CATALOG.You can find him on page 29 and can purchase the stamp set with wood blocks (#121707 for $18.95) or clear (#1120066 for $14.95).

There are 21 of us in the recipe swap and we will be meeting again in two weeks to exchange our 6 X 6 recipe pages ~ and, eat all the yummy food that those recipes will make.  On Sunday, everyone used either Many Marvelous Markers or Watercolor Wonder Crayons to complete the Grill Guy.  When finished we laminated the piece and added it to the album along with a STRIPED GROSGRAIN RIBBON (page 183 in the Idea Book & Catalog) in either Old Olive, Basic Black or Chocolate Chip.  Nice Job, Janie!

I am so behind with my posts. Sorry!

I know you have been waiting to see the pictures of my Saturday morning class using Stampin' Up!'s SUNNY DAY SIMPLY SCRAPPIN' KIT!  It was fun and I will be offering the same class on Thursday evening, June 24, if you would like to join me!!!!  Two of my friends were unable to attend the class ~ Eloise and Kim ~ so they will be coming in June.  Let me know if you are interested, I would love to have you!

Yesterday, I had my first of two sessions for my SUMMER RECIPE SWAP so I will have those pictures for you tomorrow.  At the first session we embellish the cover of our 6 X 6 albums.  The covers turned out very nice, I think everyone was pleased with them.

So here are some pictures from my Saturday morning class ~ Denise Beth Dawn LaRaunce Sabrina Melissa Pat

Cadance joined her Mom, Denise, for the last half hour of class.  She was a big help to her Mom putting card pieces in just the right place.  She also attended my Mother & Daughter BUILD - A - BEAR EVENT last December so she was familiar with the Cat/Art Studio and seemed to feel right at home!  Cadance

Sweet Scoops

Sweetscoop2 I just sent out information for my RECIPE SWAP that meets this Sunday and then again on Sunday afternoon, June 6.  We will be swapping 6 X 6 recipe cards AND tasting all the delicious food.  Which of course got me thinking about food, which got me thinking about this cute stamp set in Stampin' Up!'s SUMMER MINI CATALOG!  This is a set of eight stamps called SWEET SCOOPS (order # for the wood mount is 117078 for $18.95 and the order # for the clear mount stamps is 120078 for $14.95).  I took this picture on cruise and thought you might like to see lots of samples using this one stamp set.  Does it make you hungry?

Tomorrow afternoon I will be adding some pictures showing you everyone working hard, and having fun, in my SUNNY DAY CARD CLASS tomorrow morning!  I will be repeating the class in June ~ Thursday evening, June 24, if you are interested in making 18 cards and having a good time!!!

More swap cards....

I thought I would treat you to some more of the cards that were exchanged at my Tuesday team meeting.  If you have any questions, please send an email.  You are welcome to CASE ~ copy and share everything.

Swap Cards from my team meeting

DSC_0007Last night was my monthly team meeting of my group, SOUTHERN STARS.  Yesterday I mentioned that we would be doing a Make & Take and that I would share it with you.  Here it is, isn't it bright and fun?  We used the new Island Oasis designer series paper and the new Big Shot die ~ Island Floral.  You can find both of these items on page 27 in STAMPIN'  UP!'S SUMMER MINI CATALOG.  In addition the Pumpkin Pie card stock is embossed using the new Square Lattice Embossing Folder to create the pretty texture you see. The center of the flower is one of our corduroy buttons.  They come in five colors, this one is Pumpkin Pie.

Now, here are some more cards ~ made by my team members ~ more tomorrow!

Swap Card for Southern Stars

Elements of Style in Melon Mambo

Good Morning!  I am sitting at my computer with my cat in my lap.  I don't know if she thinks I can write a post for my blog and pet her at the same time ~ I guess she does ~ but, I feel like I could use another hand.  Tonight is my Southern Stars Meeting.  This is a meeting of all the wonderful STAMPIN' UP! DEMONSTRATORS in my group, Southern Stars!  We meet once a month in the Cat/Art Studio to talk about our business and do a little stamping.  We also swap cards.  Which means I have to make 12 cards in a hurry because I have lots of other things to do to get ready for the meeting.  Which means I have to keep it simple so here is my swap card for tonight ~ easy peasy, right?  This is a monchromatic card ~ having only one color.  And, the color is Melon Mambo.  This card shows you how to use this lovely stamp set in the SUMMER MINI CATALOG, Elements of Style, in a very simple way.  I have seen many elaborate samples using this set but I needed something quick and easy!  And, it works!  I hope you like it.  Tomorrow I will show you the card that we will be doing for our MAKE AND TAKE tonight!  And, I will have more samples from the swap to show you ~ that's what our swap is all about ~ having samples to show our customers and to use!  Great idea!

It's My Anniversary!

Good Morning!  I thought I would share a note with you that I received this morning ~ celebrating my 11th Anniversary with Stampin' Up!  I knew it was coming up but hadn't been paying attention so it was a pleasant surprise to me.  So, in turn, a pleasant surprise to you who read my blog ~ free shipping on any order you email me this week ~ May 17 through May 21.  Just let me know 'you saw it on my blog'.  Thanks so much for your support of my business!  Hugs, se

Past Mini Catalog Carryover Items

Do you remember my post from last week about some products from the Occasions Mini Catalog that were being "carried over" for continued purchase.

Well, now there is a great PDF, CARRYOVER PRODUCTS FROM STAMPIN' UP!,  that lists all these products and provides pictures of each of the items. I'm happy to say the list includes the Ornament Punch from the Holiday Mini Catalog ~ there are so many ways to use it (that have nothing to do with Christmas and the holidays)!

Print out the PDF for quick reference and feel free to contact me with any questions.  You can reach me at 757-587-1548.  Susan Elise
