A New Sound From The Holiday Mini

Add a new dimension to your card making with sound!

Recordablecardpic

Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini Catalog will  Introduce our pre-recorded and/or recordable cards.  Our pre-recorded card plays an instrumental version of "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and you can play it over and over again.  Our recordable card lets you record a message up to 10 seconds and includes play, record and lock features to ensure message is set.

Cover the cards with card stock or Designer Series Paper and embellish them for a more personal look.  Cards measure 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and fit in our padded envelopes.

You can see the Stampin' Sound Cards, and read more about them, on page 15 in your Holiday Mini Catalog.  If your Mini Catty  hasn't arrived yet, give me a call and I will send one out to you.  You can reach me at 757-587-1548 or ~

Not so Dark & Dreary

Pumpkin Patched My September 2010 issue of CardMaker magazine has been sitting on my creative desk for a couple of weeks.  Waiting for me.  Last week one of the members of Wednesday morning STAMP CLUB said to me, "Please teach us how to make this" referring to a pretty patched pumpkin in the magazine.

Yesterday I was getting ready for my upcoming classes ~ particularly my DARK & DREARY CLASS on Sunday afternoon, September 5, at 2 PM.  I decided to make the card above from the pattern in CardMaker Magazine and include it in my class.  I hope you will join me ~ you will get to make the card AND take the pattern home with you!  And, you will get to make some other Halloween projects using Stampin' Up!'s super Halloween products starting on page 22 in the new IDEA BOOK AND CATALOG!!!  JOIN ME!  CHECK OUT MY CLASS CALENDAR FOR ALL THE DETAILS OR GIVE ME A CALL ~ 587-1548!

THANKS FOR CHECKING IN TODAY ~ AND, BRING A FRIEND NEW TO ME TO CLASS AND RECEIVE $5 OFF THE CLASS FEE.  ENJOY!  SUSAN ELISE

Summer Mini ~

Suitcase idea These little suitcases are a wonderful way to send a note to a friend thanking them for being part of your summer travels!  I made one for my sister, Judy, but I haven't sent it to her yet.  She has some pictures from our trip to Ohio that she can add when she receives it.

You can find the Designer Series Paper that I used, Travel Journal (#117156), on page 23 in the Summer Mini Catalog.  The On Board Briefcase (#118766) is on the same page.  And, there is a great little stamp set that coordinates.  The stamp set is Sentimental Journey (#120075 in clear mount or #118513 in wood mount).

The products in Stampin' Up!'s SUMMER MINI CATALOG are only available until Tuesday, August 31.  If there is anything that is still on your WISH LIST give me a call or go to my Stampin' Up! website to order on line.  Let me know if I can help you.  Hugs, Susan Elise

Strawberry Fields Forever...

Strawberry Basket 2010 Alan and I went to Abbey Road (Virginia Beach) on Saturday evening to hear Lewis McGehee and to celebrate Alan's birthday.  (Alan did sound for Lewis a long time ago.)  I guess that is one of the reasons that I have this song in my head.  The other reason is that I have been making strawberries with my STAMPIN' UP! BIG SHOT!  Check my blog tomorrow for a step by step tutorial and you can make your own basket of strawberries!

Gift Card Holder

My CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST CLASS included a Gift Card Holder because everyone needs at least one to fill for the holiday season ~ it makes life so easy and doesn't cost much to mail, right?  Everyone in my class now has the pattern (and directions)so I expect they will be making more.  Here are some pictures of the one we made on Sunday afternoon.  We used Stampin' Up!'s Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper on page 174 in the catalog.

Christmas in August Class

I thought I would show you the projects we made in my CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST CLASS on Sunday afternoon.  Everyone did a fine job completing their two cards and a gift card holder.  AND, everyone who came couldn't stop talking about Stampin' Up!'s HOLIDAY MINI CATALOG that arrived in their mail box in the last several days!!!  In fact, Kim had emailed me on Saturday afternoon telling me that she was "going to have to kill me!" because everything in the MINI was to die for!!!!  I laughed ~ but, immediately emailed Stampin' Up! to tell them that my customers were threatening me and they might be losing a Demonstrator!
