Stamp-A-Stack Class

Jan's cards 10-16-10
This is Jan at Saturday's Stamp-A-Stack showing off her 18 cards ~ everyone worked hard and took home some darling cards!  If you are interested in this class I will be repeating it on Saturday morning, November 20, beginning at 10 AM.  The class fee is $35 and includes Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scrappin' kit, 18 envelopes and the accessories.  You bring your SNAIL or another adhesive.  If you are interested email me or give me a call @ 587-1548.  I think you'll like it ~ AND you'll have 36 cards that you can put in the mail December 1!

Saturday's Stamp-A-Stack Class

Saturday's Stamp-A-Stack Class was more than just a class ~ it was a homecoming party and a BIG SURPRISE for my friend, LaRaunce.  This fun class is planned so that everybody makes 18 holiday cards using Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scrappin' Kit, Christmas Cheer (#117401) on page 179 in the Idea Book and Catalog.  In addition, we only use 1/2 of the Kit so everyone can make 18 more cards when they get home!

Cat Art Studio ready for class Card Kit for class

This is the Cat/Art Studio Saturday morning before class, everything is set and ready!  On the right you see the package that everyone received ~ the Simply Scrappin' Kit, the accessory package ~ ribbon, brads, etc., and the card stock ~ cut and ready to use!  So, back to the BIG SURPRISE for LaRaunce.  Several years ago, LaRaunce brought her cousin Pat to class.  Pat lives in Baltimore and tries to visit once a year for a class.  She emailed me a couple of months ago and wanted to come to a class ~ and surprise LaRaunce!!!!  So, we have been conspiring since then.  At first, LaRaunce didn't want to sign up for the class as she had a wedding the same day so it took a little convincing.  She finally signed up!  And, this is the wonderful result...   More tomorrow!

Reppelling in Utah

St. George is located in the southwest corner of Utah 90 minutes from Las Vegas.  I flew into Las Vegas and there was a Stampin' Up! bus waiting to take us to St. George.  The trip to St. George is breathtaking and, since I have made a number of visits to Utah now, I am loving the landscape.  This picture is looking out from the hotel.

I think we all felt like ROCK STARS (so to speak) after completing our afternoon in the mountains.  Here are a couple of other pictures of me reppelling.  Do you believe it?  I am not sure I would if I didn't have the pictures!!!!

More about my Utah trip...

Last week I told you I would share a little more information about my trip to Utah for Stampin' Up!'s Founder's Circle in September.  We had free time on Friday afternoon and one of my Founder's Friends, BFF (LOL!), Kim Peck, organized a trip with Paragon Adventures in St. George.  So, I signed up to do a Reppelling Course in a slot canyon.  You can see in the first picture what a slot canyon is.  This is the group of friends that I spent the afternoon with.  It was so much fun and, a super adventure!  More pictures tomorrow! Mini Lunch Sacks ~ from the D & D class..

D & D class lunch bag 2 Do you want to make something special for the children in your son or daughter's ~ or grandchild's ~ second grade class room?  Or something special to send for a Halloween treat?  This is just the thing!!!

The Mini Lunch Sacks are on page 13 in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini Catalog and they are just perfect to put a smile on the face of any one who receives something this cute!  There are so many things you can do with them.  In the 'little witch' sack, I used the Spider Web Embossing Folder (#120889) to create the spider web.  And, in the 'greenish lunch sack' I used Stampin' Up!'s Spooky Night Rub-Ons (#120989) ~ so easy to use, and inexpensive!  These rub-ons would also fit perfectly as a label on that bottle of wine you want to give the hostess of the Halloween party you will be attending!
