BUTTON, BUTTON WHO'S GOT THE BUTTON?

Button Bucket 2

This picture was taken in the Trading Post, Stampin' Up!'s hospitality room on the cruise.  A lot of the Demonstrators who earned cruise took their families with them this year so SU made sure there were activities for everyone!  This is literally a bucket of buttons!  And, this cute little guy is searching for one RED BUTTON in the bucket to win a prize!  His Mom had plenty of time to socialize and check out all the swaps on the boards while he searched!

You may be looking for buttons, ribbon, Big Shot dies, card stock ~ don't forget to check out Stampin' Up!'s LAST CHANCE LIST ~ there are only ten days until everything on the list will be gone (and some products have sold out).  Some of the products are marked down form 25% to 40% so check them out today.  The list is on the right side of the blog, click on it!

On the boards...

On the Stampin' Up! Cruise to Alaska there was a Hospitality Suite, the Trading Post, staffed by the wonderful ladies of SU's Event Staff!  Thank you Ladies!!!  One of the reasons to stop by every day was to spin the PRIZE WHEEL and get some free SU product!  YES!  Another reason to stop by was to take pictures of fabulous samples made by staff or contributed by those on the cruise.  Here are some examples of beautiful scrapbook pages from the boards ~

Scrapbook 1

Goodbye to Taku Lodge

Taku Lodge new dogsled
This is a dog sled, obviously new or just for show.  There was a really old one inside the lodge ~ hanging from the ceiling and it took me a long time to figure out what it was.  In the early days, Mary Joyce was housekeeper in the Lodge.  She received an invitation to participate in the 1936 Fairbanks Ice Carnival and decided to make the trip overland by dog sled.  She set out with 5 dogs and a loaded sled to travel 1,000 miles over three months!  She averaged 20 miles a day in spite of temperatures to 50 degrees below zero and only a few hours of daylight each day.  The sled hanging in the lodge is the sled she used.

Taku Lodge Mortons

Next to the Taku Glacier Lodge, they built a gift shop ~ do you believe it?

Taku Lodge cards
And, inside, playing cards were these characters!

Taku Lodge sale
And, on the porch!  One more day of Taku Lodge and you will have seen everything.  In the meantime, don't forget that the Last Chance List is available ~ you'll want to check on the stamp sets that are leaving forever and the accessories ~ some are marked down 40%!  Once the accessories are gone, Stampin' Up! will not reorder so it is first come first with new accessories ~ call me if you have any questions!  Susan Elise, 587-1548 or 641-9354.
