Summer Mini Catalog ~ 1 more day

COASTERS

Stampin' Up!'s Summer Mini Catalog expires tomorrow, August 31.  We will not be able to order the two sets shown above, The Open Sea, #123032, or Sail Away, #123013.  Aren't these coasters gorgeous?  They were made by another Demonstrator who shared them on line, thank you so much LeaAnn!

I haven't had my computer, and still don't have email, so if you need to get in touch with me please give me a call.  Thanks for checking in!

I have a Big Shot Class tomorrow night at 6:30 PM and would love to have you join me.  Call me if you are interested, 587-1548 or 641-9354.

Layering Punch Video

Stampin' Up!'s new layering punches let you enjoy three coordinated punch images in just one punch.  There are two punches, DOILY TRIPLE LAYER, #122465, and, BLOSSOM BOUQUET TRIPLE LAYER, #122464.  You can find both of them on page 211 in the new IDEA BOOK & CATALOG.

This video features Shannon West, Stampin' Up! Training Staff, and she will show you how the punch works and a cute scrapbook project.  If you are like me, you always like to know how to use something before you make the investment in purchasing it ~ this should help.  If you have more questions, please give ma a call, 757-587-1548.  Susan Elise

Summer Mini Catalog ~ 4 days and counting....

Stampin' Up!'s wonderful Summer Mini Catalog will be gone very soon.  Some of the stamp sets and accessories have been carried over to the new Idea Book & Catalog but some of them will be gone on the evening of August 31.  I thought I would share some samples of the sets that will be leaving in case you are interested in any of them.  If you are interested, let me know on Sunday or Monday as I will be placing my last order from the Mini on Tuesday or Wednesday ~ and, today, it looks like we will be powerless soon.

BOXES....

Mummy Box 2

Isn't this just darling?  It makes me want to run to my stamp table and get busy!  I only got a few pictures when I was in Charlotte because I was busy with my booth but I am so glad I got these!

I think that this Demonstrators name is Cindy Ardis.  She was in one of the four booths and her demonstration was all about BOXES.  I hope this will give you some great ideas for your own boxes.  How about a teacher gift?  Madi, who is turning 8, was very upset today because the first day of school was postponed due to the evacuation of the Outer Banks.  I am so sorry, Madi!

If you are on the East Coast ~ take care and be safe!

Cute Fabric Ideas

Another Demonstrator, Cassy Miller, was demoing different uses for Stampin' Up!'s fabric at the Charlotte Regional.  I thought I would show you some of her great ideas.  She was very creative!  If you have any questions, just give me a call, 757-587-1548!  Tomorrow ~ creative boxes you'll love!

And, from Shelli's blog...

So Shelli Bat

Shelli's bat.  And, Shelli's comments ~

This was made using the Petal Cone die for the bat’s body and the Perfect Pennant die for his wings. Notice the veins on the bat’s wings? Made using the spider web embossing folder  . . . I thought that was a nice touch. I also embossed tiny bats (from the Wicked Cool Set) on the bat’s body and finished the project with a light (very, VERY light) spray of adhesive and sprinkling of Dazzling Diamonds.

It’s easy, although not necessarily quick. But there are several steps you could eliminate to simplify the project. Our grandchildren won’t necessarily appreciate the time and effort that went into this, but I know their moms will confiscate this little fellow as soon as the candy is gone to use as Halloween  décor!

Shelli's Bat!

One of the first questions everyone wants to know when they sign up to attend a regional Stampin' Up! meeting is 'Will Shelli be there????'.  She is truly the rock star of Stampin' Up! and it is a well deserved status because she attends almost all of our events AND participates!  She not only participates by welcoming everyone, she often demonstrates her latest project AND spends lots and lots of time talking to the Demonstrators that attend!  Another job I noticed that she had added at this meeting was that of PRIZE PATROL ~ passing out Stampin' Up! product to the anxious and excited winners whose names appeared on the big screen!  She's amazing!

Her demonstration on Friday was an elaborate Halloween bat she is making for her grandchildren ~ all 14 of them!  The results of her project was a darling bat made from the petal cone die that she would fill with candy for the kids (Mom's would get the actual container ~ too cute for the children to destroy ~ LOL!).  Her philosophy is that she was there to inspire us with a fabulous project not make something we could reproduce easily!!!  Here are pictures of her on stage making her bat!

My job at the Charlotte Regional...

And, you thought I went to Charlotte to have a good time ~ and, establish the first Cat/Art Studio Branch!  Actually, I was working ~ hard ~ and, having lots of fun!  Shannon, an events planner at SU, called a couple of weeks ago and asked me to be part of the event.  She asked me to plan a demonstration for the attendees and said that I could demonstrate anything that I wanted to!  It really would have been so much easier if she would have said ~ do this!  Or, that!  But no, so I had to 'stew' over what would be the best thing to do.  I finally came to the conclusion that I needed to do something that those attending could take home and USE to their advantage.  So, my topic was SIMPLY SCRAPPIN' KITS.  You know, I love my Simply Scrappin' Kits.  They are wonderful to use for classes ~ SCRAPBOOK CLASSES & 16 CARD CLASSES (affectionately known as my KAMIKAZE CLASS!).  So, more about that this week ~ I want to show you the nice booth and display boards that SU provided.  There were four of us demonstrating and about 260 attendees on Friday.  (Saturday numbers expanded to a projected 480!)  And, the most wonderful part was that the majority of those attending had never attended a Stampin' Up! event before ~ what a super opportunity!  Here's my booth ~

Notice the mirror above the booth ~ that's so more people can see what I am doing ~ really good idea, don't you think?  Tomorrow ~ Shelli and her bat!
