Shelli's apartment in Kenab

I have been showing you pictures of our trip to Kenab during Stampin' Up!'s Founder's Circle this month.  Above the manufacturing plant, Shelli and her family have an apartment so that they have a place to stay when visiting and holding staff meetings.  It is a lovely space and I thought you would like to see pictures (great ideas for your own home!)

Kenab, Utah

Kenab, Utah, is where Stampin' Up! produces stamp sets.  When we attend Founder's Circle we have the option of taking a bus trip to the Kenab manufacturing plant, meeting the employees, seeing the stamps being created and touring Shelli's upstairs apartment in the facility.  It is always a treat and we are greeted by the Kenab staff when our bus drives up ~ their warm welcome always brings tears to my eyes.

These scrapbook pages are from my trip to Utah ~ a showcase from Stampin' Up!'s manufacturing plant in Utah (yes, they do manufacture all of their own stamp sets ~ except the wheels!).  They have a fabulous showcase ~ more tomorrow.

If you would like to spend a weekend scrapbooking may I recommend my friends, Susan and Ashley.  They have a weekend planned for you in early November (the registration dates have been extended) and you can find out more about it here!

Founder's Circle Dinner

St George Dinner room

St George Dinner Table 2

The first night at Stampin' Up!'s Founder's Circle is always a lovely dinner together.  When we arrived we were given a little teacup tag and asked to find the others in our group, THE TEAPOTS.  It is a great way to get to know each other!!!

The theme of Founder's Circle was a TEA PARTY (right up my alley, don't you think?)

I am back and can't wait to tell you all about it...

But, first, I thought I would share an email that was in my inbox while I was in Utah at FOUNDER'S CIRCLE.  It is from Katy who is a new and very enthusiastic stamper and a member of one of my STAMP CLUBS!  I feel so fortunate to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and I just love it when I get a note like this!!! So, before I start telling you about my fabulous week I thought I would share Katy's cards with you!

Katy said, "I made four cards last week and i'm very happy with them. i embossed the two "hello" designs, with all-over flowers and dots. i also put mini pearls (not Minnie Pearl) on the tea cup, and a rhinestone in the "o" of "hello". i also made eight little boxes and filled them with two hershey's nuggets, a roll, and a mini reese's peanut butter cup. my friends loved them! finally, i made another series of the step cards, this time using the "morning cup" set of stamps and the domestic goddess paper on bright pink and a butter yellow card stock.
i'm finally beginning to USE all the neat stuff i've got, and am gaining more confidence. as usual, Chris (my sister) is receiving the first cards . . .

thanks for your encouragement,
katy

Frightful Sight

  Shelli's plate
Don't you just love this Halloween plate?  It is an easy peasy way to decorate for the upcoming scary event (or, at the Morton home ~ just a reminder of our black cat, Jupiter!).  Shelli Gardner, CEO of Stampin' Up! created this plate using the Frightful Sight Decor Elements on page 228 in the Idea Book & Catalog.  It comes in either black or orange and there are five images for $11.95.  You'll love our decor elements as there is such a variety of images in vinyl and they are easy to apply and easy to remove when you want to make a change.  And, now....JUPITER!

Dawn Duval, a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and one of my Southern Star team members, made these cute cards last Sunday.  She is raising money for breast cancer research by selling her cards.  The message is "Save the HOOTERS" ~ thanks for sharing, Dawn!
