Designer Series Paper:  Spice Cake, #124003, page 17 in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini Catalog

Jumbo Wheel:  Bright Blessings, #115626, page 29 IB & C

Ink:  Assorted to match the Fall Colors

Big Shot: Square Lattice Embossing Folder, #119976, page 218; Leaves #2 Die, #113459, page 220

Buttons:  Assorted ~ Regals, #119744; Neutrals, #119743; Brights, #119747 and Linen Thread, #104199

This is a tri-fold card.  The base card stock is cut 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" and is scored and folded at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8".  The belly band is 1 1/2" x 8 1/2" and joined by a circle of card stock.  The leaves are die cut and run through the Big Shot.  Sally used the embossing folder to add texture to some of the leaves.  She sponged the tops of some of the embossed leaves to achieve a further embossed look.  There are three leaves on each circle with the button attached with a Mini Glue Dot in the middle.

I hope your week will be fantastic.  I know mine will be ~ stamp a little, make some beautiful Fall cards.  I return home the night of September 22 and will look forward to sharing my Utah pictures/fun with you when I return.  Hugs, Susan Elise

Founder's Circle here I come!

I am leaving on Wednesday morning (my flight is at 6 AM!) to fly to Las Vegas.  When I arrive I will be met by Stampin' Up! staff and bused, with other Founder's Circle Demonstrators to St. George, Utah, for four days of fun Stampin' Up! style.  I am very fortunate to be part of this group and I am looking forward to seeing everyone.  In preparation for our scheduled PJ party and swap I thought you would like to see my beautiful swap card!

FC Swap Card
Isn't it gorgeous?  And, look it comes in lots of fabulous colors ~

FC Swap cards
And, I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful friend who loves to make cards for me.  Sally Schwaner always comes to my rescue and, after our 'planning session on the phone' she is the one that does all the work for me ~ rolling, cutting, scoring, folding, die cutting and inserting that little linen thread in those fabulous buttons.  Thank you so much, Sally!

And, here's my other assistant that I couldn't do without.  Rosie Morton is my weekly assistant.  Here she is working hard to put each one of my swap cards into the clear cello envelope to protect it on its' way to Utah.  Thank you Rosie!  What would I ever do without these two fabulous ladies!!!

July Owl

At my team meeting yesterday morning we made a 2012 calendar as a sample for a fall class for our stamping friends.  I thought that the July page was particularly appropriate for today as we remember our fallen heroes, their families and how all of us have been effected by the terrorist attacks in 2001.  God Bless America!

A sunflower for Madi

I forgot to show you the other project that Madi and her friends made at her birthday party so I thought that I would do it now ~

Sunflower for Madi
This is a little notepad for the girls to carry to school or to give to their teacher.  We used the following from Stampin' Up!'s Idea Book and Catalog ~

Card stock:  Chocolate Chip , #102128; Daffodil Delight, #119683 and ten sheets of copy paper for the note pad inside

Marker:  Early Espresso, #119680

Big Shot:  Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, #117335; Scallop Circle #2 Die, #113469; Circles #2 Die, #114526

Ribbon:  Lucky Limeade 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon, #122977; 1/4" Grosgrain in Daffodil Delight, #120928 (actually, I used Daffodil Delight Satin ribbon but when I looked in the catalog it wasn't there any more.  Has that ever happened to you?  When you find some ribbon you like, do invest as Stampin' Up! has a lovely way of changing things around on us ~ like my lost DD stain ribbon!)

Pink in the City

Aren't these LOLLIES (or medallions ~ the other, and more boring, name for them) georgeous?  They remind me of a party!  And PINK IN THE CITY is a party!!!  It is coming soon and I hope all of you will be able to attend!  It is a fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation ~ in support of breast cancer research.  It is being held at The Chrysler Museum of Art on September 20 from 5:30 to 9:30 PM.  (website ~

At the beginning of last month I said that I would choose from those of you who commented on my blog ONE WINNER to receive TWO TICKETS to PINK IN THE CITY!

More information about the LOLLIES and Stampin' Up!'s fabulous new tool, SIMPLY SCORED SCORING TOOL, soon.  It is just great for any of our 3-D projects ~ this tool makes it fast and easy!

Gently Falling...

Gently Falling 1

The Gently Falling stamp set is gorgeous.  It was the first thing on Patty's order this morning at Stamp Club and I can see why.  It is easy to use and makes a fabulous statement from now until Thanksgiving.  You can find it on page 16 and 17 in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini Catalog (#123804 for clear; #123802 for wood).

  Gently Falling 2

Stampin' Up! included pretty Designer Series Paper, Spice Cake, in the mini and fabric to match.  This little pouch was made using the Spice Cake Fabric (#124066) and the Spice Cake Buttons (#124113) as an added embellishment.

Gently Falling 3

Here, the fabric is combined with a coordinating stamp set, Hand-Penned Holidays, #124312 (c) and #124310 (w).

Gently Falling 4
And, here are the stamps.  It is a two step stampin' kind of set if you want to use it that way.  There are both line and solid stamps in the set.  It's a set of 12.  Alan and I spent Labor Day traveling to Shipman, Virginia ~ out near Charlottesville and Lynchburg.  And, I was amazed, some of the leaves have started to turn ~ it won't be long before they look like this!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Madi's Birthday and the POWER IS ON!

Birthday bags

Birthday owls

In Stampin' Up!'s HOLIDAY MINI CATALOG you will find the great little Cellophane Bags to use for parties, gifts, Trick or Treat ~ whatever you can think of.  You can find them on page 11 in the mini catty.  The order number is 124134 and you get 50 for $2.50 ~ good deal, right?  I used them for Madi's party ~ lots of fun owls!

Birthday Boxes

And, here is the Owl Birthday Box that Madi and her guests made.  Inside were Hershey chocolates covered using the IT'S A WRAP OCCASIONS stamp set (#123592) in Stampin' Up!'s Idea Book & Catalog!

And, my sister, Judy, in Richmond finally got her power back on ~ AFTER EIGHT DAYS!  WOW!  She praised the great workers from Alabama who were in Richmond to help Virginia Dominion Power.  Here's what her backyard looked like!  She was so patient ~ I am so proud of her!
