Cards for Kathie Lee & Hoda

When Shelli visited the Today Show last week she made the above cards to give to Kathie Lee and Hoda.  Aren't they pretty?  She has such a distinct style.  She also gave them our Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps ~ if you want more information click on Recipe Swap on the right side of the blog under CATEGORIES ~ my recipe is there!

Shelli's appearance was to donate Stampin' Up! products to the Today Show Toy Drive.

Holiday Shipping Deadline from Stampin' Up!

We know you may be purchasing products for the holiday season.  We recommend you place your holiday orders by Wednesday, December 14, 2011, by 7:00 PM via phone or 11:50 PM via OEX (all times MT) to receive your orders before Christmas. Delivery times will vary depending on where you live; if your personal experience indicates that it takes longer for packages to reach you, you will want to allow a little extra time for shipping during the holidays.

All orders we receive by December 14, 2011, will be picked, packaged, and delivered to our courier in plenty of time to arrive by December 24, 2011. But as you know, we cannot control delivery times; holiday mail volumes are high, and our delivery services encourage customers to ship as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Jan Mize's Mice?????

Jan's Mice for Christmas

Last Thursday night the Wild Wasabi Women Stamp Club met for their Christmas get-together stamp club meeting.  They each brought a 'goodie' and Jan brought the mice above.  Aren't they too cute?????  I asked Jan if I could share the recipe with you and she said I could ~ it will be at the bottom of this post.  THANKS, JAN!

Jan's Mice for Christmas 2

Christmas Eve Mice
24 Double-stuff oreos
1 cup (6oz) semisweet choc. chips
 2 tsp shortening
24 red maraschino cherries with stems,
24 choc. kisses
48 sliced almonds
1 small tube green decorative icing gel
1 small tube red decorative icing gel
Carefully twist cookies apart; set aside halves with cream filling. (save other half for another use..or eat!)  In microwave or heavy sauce pan, melt choc. chips and shortening; stir  until smooth. Holding cherry by stem, dip in the melted chocolate, then press onto the bottom of a kiss. Place on the cream filling of cookie, with the cherry stem extending beyond cookie edge. For ears, place slivered almonds between kiss and cherry. Refrigerate until set. With green gel, pipe holly leaves on the cream. Pipe red holly berries between leaves and pipe eyes on each  choc. kiss.
Store in an airtight container at room temp.
I found it easier if I laid the cherry on the cookie and then placed the kiss up against it. Also off-center the mouse a bit so you have room for holly.  Enjoy!!

"I can't believe I survived this class"

Menelika and Jackie 1

Two brand new stampers at my CALENDAR CLASS on Saturday morning ~ Menelika and Jackie!  Neither one of these lovely ladies had ever stamped before and this was a really busy class ~ lots of different techniques ~ 12 of them, one for each of the months coming in 2012.  They both did a fabulous job and Menelika was the one who sighed at the end and said, "I can't believe I survived this class!"  Too funny!

Menelika and Jackie 2

Connie, Sharon and Evelyn (Evelyn made 2 calendars ~ one for a gift!)

I am repeating this class on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 28, beginning at 3 PM in the Cat/Art Studio.  Each calendar is $10 and you can make as many as you would like.  The price includes a CD Calendar Case to hold your 2012 calendar.  Join me!
