Elementary Elegance stamp set (#125122 ~ clear, #125120 ~ wood) in the Sale-a-bration brochure (page 15) is a set of 7 very elegant stamps that are easy to use. Stampin' Up! coordinated this stamp set with the Curly Label Punch, #119851, page 209 in the IB&C. You can see the shape of the punch in the center of the card above and below, it is punched out of the pretty designer series paper in the same brochure, Everyday Enchantment DSP.
I found both of these cards on Shelli's blog. She has been posting samples using all of the Sale-a-bration products. In addition, both of these easy cards use the Framelits (#125598) to cut the Whisper White card stock that the frame is stamped on ~ using Early Espresso classic ink. Gorgeous!
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
I have my nails painted green and am on my say to a St. Patrick's Day Tea Party! Of course, I am supposed to be wearing green ~ Wild Wasabi? Garden Green? Old Olive? Pear Pizzazz? Lucky Limeade? I just can't decide! So, no matter what your plans ~ HAVE A SUPER ST. PAT'S DAY!
One of my fabulous team members, Marion Swaim, made the smaller flowers for me using the Layering Punches. Stampin' Up! has two different ones ~ the Doily Triple Layer (#122465) and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer (#122464). These punches give you three coordinating punch images in just one punch!
The gorgeous flower in the front of the flower pot was made with a Bigz Die, Daisies #2 (#114520) and the Big Shot.
Of course the flowers could be made in any color to go with your home decor or on a pretty tea table. Speaking of tea tables, I hope you will join me on the afternoon of Sunday, March 25, for my Tea Party Open House. Join me any time between 2 and 4 in the Cat/Art Studio for some fun stamping, goodies and a cup of tea (please bring your tea cup!). The supply fee for the open house is $5.
This is an early third Thursday (since March 1st was a Thursday) or at least it seems that way. Tonight is my THIRD THURSDAY CLASS and the theme is Easter/Spring. The class is $15 or FREE if you place an order of $25 at the class this evening. It starts at 6:30 PM and is in the Cat/Art Studio. If you are interested please give me a call (587-1548) so that I will have your supplies ready for you. You will be making 6 cards, 2 each of 3 designs.
Here's another Shelli Card using the stamp set Elementary Elegance on page 15 of Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration brochure. She loves layering!!! Isn't it gorgeous???
Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up! CEO, continues to post fabulous samples using the stamp sets from the Sale-A-Bration catalog so I thought I would share two more with you. There are only 17 more days to take advantage of Stampin' Up!'s once a year promotion!
More stickers (the cake is the sticker) and this time I used the Designer Series Paper in the same Sweet Shop Product Suite on page 32 in the Occasions Mini.
The DSP is loads of fun with ice cream cones, candy, cakes, cherries and loads of hearts. The colors are also loads of fun ~ Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Island Indigo ~ Stampin' Up!'s current in-colors. These colors will be here all year which means they will be in the next annual catalog. Remember the next catalog will be introduced a month early this year. YOU can get your 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalog beginning on June 1!!!! And, new in-colors ~ can't wait to see them! Let me know if I can help you with any of these fabulous products!
Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Mini Catalog will not expire until the end of next month (April 30) ~ thank heaven! There are still products and samples that I want to show you AND that you might want to add to your stamping and scrapping collection!
Today's product is some delightful stickers (did I say stickers ~ YES, stickers!). Stampin' Up! doesn't do stickers very often and these are particularly colorful and fun! You know I love colorful! Check these out on page 32 of the mini catalog ~ Sweet Shop Designer Stickers, #125584, ~ 4 sheets of clear stickers for $6.95. They are so much fun and would even be great to add to a fun EASTER BASKET which is right around the corner.
More samples tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!
Stampin' Success is a monthly magazine sent to all Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. It includes projects with new and old products, contests, scrapbook ideas ~ traditional and digital, Q & A, business ideas and a list of monthly promotions. None of us would want to be without it!
In the March issue there is an article entitled ACRYLIC DISTRESS, this is a picture of the magazine article and several different colored samples that I made....
The technique includes using embossing folders and the Big Shot. A thin coat of acrylic paint (any color) is applied to card stock and, when it is dry, placed in a textured impressions embossing folder and run through the Big Shot. Next, you sand the embossed image using sanding blocks to create a weathered distressed look.
You can also sponge ink over the top after sanding using a Sponge Dauber. This is the card I created using this technique.
Scratch and sniff? No, just sniff. Stampin' Up! has flavored embossing powder in the Occasions Mini Catalog! Last Saturday morning at Terrie's party we made this card and used the Melon embossing powder, #127034, on the red part of the watermelon from the stamp set Mouthwatering, #125677 (c) or #125675 (w) also in the OMC. Just the red part. Here's how it works ~
1. Using Real Red, Garden Green and Basic Black markers color directly on the stamp. Stamp on Whisper White card stock.
2. Totally cover the Real Red area using a Versamarker. Pour the Melon embossing powder on top and heat. Enjoy the aroma! Here's another ~
PS: Terrie signed up to receive Stampin' Up!'s Starter Kit last Saturday at her party. She said that it is such a good deal she couldn't pass it up. She had a very long WISH LIST and knew that becoming a Demonstrator was the very best way of getting all of the products that she wanted to have! I am so pleased to have her on my team, Southern Stars!
