Party This Way

Thank you, Susan, Janie and CJ for making my tax day a good day ~ it was great to hear from each of you.  Everyone seemed to be having a good day for all of the right reasons!  I hope Maddie won her game ~ let us know, Susan.  I will get your prizes in the mail to you soon.

Kim Munden's card

This cute card was created by Kim Munden, one of my team members ~ a Southern Star!  The stamp set is PARTY THIS WAY, #120609 (c) or #118744 (w) and it is on Stampin' Up!'s Retirement List!

Party This Way

Happy Tax Day!

Actually, I was wondering if it can be happy!  What do you think?  It is always so painful to write a check and have it totally disappear into thin air.    So, to make your day a little better I thought I would offer you a little stamping special. I have three of these darling Blossom Builders Kits from Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Mini Catalog to give away to those of you who comment on my blog post today.  Let me know your thoughts on making this a happy day!  I will let Alan choose 3 of you to receive all of these happy flowers and put them in the mail to you this week!

And the winner is....

Thanks so much to all of you who entered my RETIRING STAMP SETS CONTEST this past weekend.  Everyone who entered did a really good job of guessing which stamp sets would be on the list.  Patty Pauley is the prize winner.  CONGRATULATIONS, PATTY!  Patty wins a $20 credit toward her first $50 order in the new Stampin' Up! catalog.  And, as a thank you for entering ~ everyone receives $5 off their first $50 order from the new catty in June!

Kim Hirst's card for Diane

And, I wanted to show you this beautiful card made by one of my stamp club members, Kim Hirst.  Isn't it gorgeous? Kim used the stamp set, Apothecary Art, on page 24 (#125527) in the Occasions Mini Catalog along with the Labels Framelits Dies (#125598).

Tomorrow I will begin my RETIRING STAMP SHOW ~ I am going to be posting samples of cards using the stamp sets that are retiring.  You won't want to miss it!  Plus a little TAX DAY SURPRISE ~ be sure to stop by!

Easter gift from Deb

Easter from Deb

Look what arrived in my mail box on Monday, don't you just LOVE wonderful mail box surprises?  This darling little tissue holder and card are from my friend, Deb, who serves on the Advisory Board with me.  She is a very special lady ~ very talented with her sewing machine AND in her stamp room!

Everything is made using Stampin' Up!'s Summer Smooches products ~ fabric, Designer Series Paper and the stamp set, Bright Blossoms.  Stampin' Up! is introducing us to these products for the month of April.  They will be in the new catalog (June 1 ~ do you believe it?) except for the fabric covered brads.  They will not be available ever again (I don't know why ~ sorry) so, if you want to coordinate the DSP or fabric with the brads NOW is the time to order.  The Summer Smooches Fabric Designer Brads, #125589, are $6.95 and there are 24 brads in the package.  Let me know if you are interested and I will add them to my order tomorrow morning.  Thanks for stopping by the Cat/Art Studio!

Something for Summer weddings perhaps...

Wedding purse

Or, maybe it would be the perfect purse to go with a prom dress or graduation?  I think these little purses would be wonderful to hold a little gift ~ earrings, a bracelet, chocolate or (gasp!) ~ money for the bride and groom!  Or, as a favor for a wedding shower?  I haven't made one yet that would be perfect for a baby shower.  Would any of you like to try one and email me the results?  I would be HAPPY to post it as your creation ~ YOU could be the guest artist!  See what you can do with Stampin' Up!'s Petite Purse Die, it is really a fun crafting tool to use with the Big Shot!  Susan Elise

31? No, Stampin' Up!

Elegant little evening purse

I know that purses are all the rage and that you have been invited to a 31 PARTY, right?  Well, this little evening purse is not part of the 31 line but it is from Stampin' Up!  Isn't it too cute?  I saw a similar one on a post from another demonstrator last week and knew that I had to make one for myself and my friends.  It is Basic Black card stock, cut out using the Petite Purse Bigz L Die (#125606) from Stampin' Up's SUMMER SMOOCHES Promotion ~ a line of lively products that includes a stamp set, Bright Blossoms, DSP, Fabric, Brads and lovely Daffodil Delight seam binding.

I scored the box using Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scored Diagonal Plate (#125586) a must for making your own fabulous envelopes and quick and easy boxes.  To complete this elegant evening purse I added the pearls from the Idea Book & Catalog ~ Basic Pearls (#119247) ~ you get 150 of three sizes of pearls.  The adhesive is on the back of the pearls so that you can easily transfer them to your project.  One more cute little purse tomorrow ~ see you then!  se

Thank you, Janie!

Janie's Easter card

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL OF YOU!  THIS CARD IS FROM MY FRIEND, JANIE DODGE ~ ISN'T IT GORGEOUS?

Alan and I have been in the mountains at our Tree House Cottage and we just got back.  It was just beautiful up there ~ green is definitely the key word.  That area of Virginia is a little behind Tidewater so all of the leaves are very new and very green ~ all shades of green!!!  Breathtaking!  I was going to post a picture from our weekend in Shipman but I forgot my camera when we left on Friday!  Oh, well ~ maybe next time.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you had a fabulous weekend too!  Hugs, Susan Elise
