Noel Notes Simply Sent

Quick and easy might be just what you are looking for as you think about the upcoming holidays.  And, what could be easier than this little Simply Sent package put together by Stampin' Up! just for you.  It is a great way to add a family picture or to just use some pretty holiday paper to dress up what is all ready for you to use.  Here is a sample ~ Sara Douglas (one of Shelli's daughters) created this easy, but cute, card.  You can find other ideas using this kit in the Holiday Catalog on page 17.

Sew some more...

Yesterday I mentioned that Tina had found her fabric on Stampin' Up!'s CLEARANCE RACK.  It's a great place to 'fill in the holes' in your stamping supplies ~ inexpensively!!!  And, there are new items on the RACK ~ some selling out really quickly so take advantage of the opportunity and check it out.  Just go to my online store, it's easy!

Fabric Bag
The picture at the top is a little potpourri sachet, isn't it cute?  In the middle is a bag, the squares are cut with the Scallop Squares Duo Bigz die (#120903) using the Big Shot.  You can find the die on page 193 in Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalog.  And, at the bottom, a nice way to use fabric on your cards.  I hope this has given you some good ideas on ways to use fabric in your crafting.  Have a super Saturday and thanks for stopping by!

Sew, sew....

One of my friends, Tina, emailed me yesterday to say that she had purchased a lot of Stampin' Up! fabric from the CLEARANCE RACK and, now, she didn't know what to do with it.  She asked me for suggestions and, although I had some, I went to a fabulous resource for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators called STAMPIN' CONNECTION on the Demo Website (definitely one of the advantages of being a Demonstrator ~ access to unlimited super samples!).  I thought maybe you would like to see some of the samples that I found ~ all shared by Demonstrators from around the world.  And, remember the word CASE from last week ~ COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING?  It applies here ~ have fun!

A card for Dad....

Picture from Tobi
This is Lucas.  He is making a card for his Dad who is deployed.  Lucas is the oldest son of my friend, Tobi, who sent me the picture after telling me yesterday that he was making his first card.  Tobi and her Mom, Tracey, are super Stampin' Up! stampers but, for some reason, the card that Lucas made for his Dad is not a Stampin' Up! card ~ I guess we didn't have the right kind of airplane ~ darn!  Cute card, Lucas, and your Dad will love it!

Fall for these cards

It has definitely been feeling like Fall these last few days, hasn't it?  I spent part of yesterday afternoon taking a long walk in the Norfolk Botanical Garden.  The trees there have not begun to change much yet ~ tiny signs of what is coming.  The dogwoods seem to be the first to make that decision.  I love making cards this time of year and I have a stack ready to send tomorrow.  I thought you would like to see several beautiful, yet simple, cards made by Shelli Gardner, or for Shelli ~ I am not sure which.  She had them on her blog and, as always, they are gorgeous and ones that we can CASE (copy and share everything)!

Third Thursday Class is this week...

Third Thursday Thanksgiving Card
This week is my THIRD THURSDAY CLASS and I hope you will be able to join me for a stress free evening of stamping.  We will be making Thanksgiving cards and the one above is on the project list.  Isn't it gorgeous?  It is a swap from Founder's Circle made by my good friend, Penny Thomas, from Texas.

My monthly THIRD THURSDAY CLASS starts at 6:30 in the Cat/Art Studio.  YOU will be making six cards, 2 each of 3 designs.  The class fee is $15 or FREE with a Stampin' Up! order of $25 or more.  It is a great class for beginners so if you have a friend who is looking for a wonderful hobby ~ or, a new job ~ please invite them to join us on Thursday, October 18!  Click here to let me know if you will be able to join me.

Halloween Treats

DSC_0012I made these cute treat bags for the Halloween Party last week ~ everyone decorated their own.  Isn't the bat cute?  The bat punch has retired from Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalog but you can find it on the CLEARANCE RACK on my online store.  It's easy to find any time ~ in the upper right hand corner of my blog there is a link to the ONLINE STORE.  Click and the store pops up!  Then on the left you will find the link to the CLEARANCE RACK ~ click ~ the bat punch is on the second page!
