Scentsational Season

Scentsational Season
Scentsational Season, set of 6

Stampin' Up! has events across the country throughout the year.  These regional events allow Demonstrators from the surrounding areas to attend a fun filled day with product demonstrations, swaps, and presentations by SU corporate staff.  Last weekend the regional was in Lansing, Michigan and there were 850 attendees.  200 of those were guests of Demonstrators and 70 of those guests signed up to be Demonstrators themselves!  WOW!

Blog_Nov12_lansing_1Shelli Gardner, Co-Founder and CEO of Stampin' Up!, attends nearly every regional event (nearly every SU event actually ~ she is amazing!) and she presents a project.  This is her Lansing project ~ a little gift for a friend or neighbor made with the Fancy Favor Die.  She cut off the decorative edge on the top and wrapped the box in designer series paper.

The handles are added using Circle Punches.  It's a little hard to read but, if you want to make this for a cute Christmas gift, here is what you would do ~ 1.  Punch a circle from Whisper White card stock using the 1 3/4" Circle Punch.  2.  Use the 2 1/2" Circle Punch over the top of the previously punched circle creating the handle.  3.  The bottom circle in the picture shows where to cut (the solid line), score (the dotted line).  4.  Fold on the dotted line and attach to your box using Sticky Strip.

Stampin' Up! offers a wonderful opportunity to have fun at your job and earn money doing it ~ it is fabulous to be able to share what you love with others.  And, this month, if you sign up YOU receive a full set of new stamp pads ~ plus over $100 worth of products.  Call me or email me for more information and join my team.

Change ~ Calendar Class

DECEMBER
I am changing the date of my next 2013 CALENDAR CLASS from Thursday, November 29, to Sunday afternoon, December 2.  The reason for the change is that it is a class that takes some time ~ you will be creating 12 months ~ and an evening class would be too difficult as we all have to get up the next morning to get to work.  So, if you have signed up, please change the date on your schedule.  Thanks in advance for working with me on this change.

If you are not signed up and would like to ~ EMAIL ME FOR DETAILS!

Kelly's Gifts

Kelly's Tiles
Kelly Berg, a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and a member of my group ~ Southern Stars ~ stopped by the other night to show me the gifts she was making for friends.  I am sure her friends will be thrilled!  Kelly used Travertine Tiles from Lowes.  She said they were about fifty cents each and they were next to the tumbled marble tiles.  These tiles are smoother and easier to stamp on.  Kelly stamped the tiles using Stazon ink and colored them with a Blender Pen using Refill Ink.  When the design was completed she sprayed them with a clear spray to set the ink.  Thanks so much for sharing, Kelly!

Awesome Jennifer & her Angry Birds

I have awesome ladies in my Stampin' Up! group of Demonstrators, Southern Stars, and I thought you would enjoy an email note I received recently from Jennifer Dreibelbis who lives in Franklin.  Her son, Kenny, turned four this year and she created a super fun ANGRY BIRDS PARTY for him.  Here is her note and the pictures of her fun creations ~

I just realized I never sent you the pictures of some of the Angry Birds things I made for Kenny's birthday party.  It was a pool party, so I put the pig on a float in the water instead of on blocks for the invitation.  I made keychains using punched birds and pigs and hung them off the goody bags which I decorated to look like the bird's faces.  I made a party game using some cans, spray painted them green and drew pig faces on with a sharpie, then the kids stacked them up and knocked them over with little Angry Birds dog toys I got on clearance!  My mother-in-law made the cakes and decorated them to look like a bird and pig.
