Front Door
If you have been to the Cat/Art Studio you will recognize this as our front door.  I thought you would like to see the wreath I made last night but I couldn't hang it on the outside of the door ~ too wet and nasty!

Front Door WreathSo, here it is wo the storm door to obstruct our view.  Like it?  Here's how to make your own ~

1.  Cut 6 sheets of designer series paper (I used Witches' Brew DSP, #132185 on page 21 in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Skinny catalog) 1" x 12".  Divide into piles by pattern.

2.  Using your bone folder, curl both ends of the DSP strip and attach to a 12" styrofoam wreath base (craft store purchase) using straight pins.  It goes together quickly making it easy to have one for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!  Hey, maybe even Valentine's Day!

3.  Hints:  I got the bandaids out of the bathroom and put one on my thumb and one on my first finger to protect them.  The bone folder isn't sharp at all but the wreath takes a lot of curling!

4.  Questions about this project, email me or give me a call, 757-641-9354.

A while back I posted about the Halloween Banner Simply Created kit.  Today I would like to introduce you to the Christmas Banner kit (#132697, $9.95, Holiday catty).  I have a class planned for Sunday afternoon, November 24, at 2 in the Cat/Art Studio.  We will be making the banner from scratch and the class fee includes everything you will need.  The fee is $30 and you will have a finished banner to hang when you get home ~ a great addition to your holiday decor ~ and so easy!  Join me for some stamping fun, email me to join now!

This is another great accessory kit for the holidays.  The colors are what attracted me to it.  I love the soft elegance of it.  Take a look at the video tutorial from Stampin' Up! and see how quick and easy it comes together.....

If you need any of the supplies to create the banner, visit my online store here.

At Jennifer's party.....

Jennifer had a Stampin' Up! party on Sunday afternoon in the Cat/Art Studio and I wanted to show you a technique that we used with the Whisper White notecards and envelopes (#131527, page 162 AC) using painter's tape.  You can find the tape at the big box stores or you neighborhood hardware, it is used as a mask so that painter's protect parts of their projects.  It is a 'light adhesive' tape.   (a little PS ~ Jennifer just joined Stampin Up! for $25 ~ yea!)

Wetlands w stamp pad
Lay the tape on the stamp pad and push gently w your fingers and then place it on the note card.

Snowflake card
Snowflake Season Simply Sent

Stampin' Up! really makes it easy ~ seriously!  This post card and envelope (#132176 on page 26, Holiday Skinny) are ready for you to put together very easily.  I added the Real Red card stock and the embellishment ~ everything else comes in the package.  And, a lovely surprise, the ornament comes off to be used as a Christmas decoration ~ a card and a gift in one!

Stampin' Up! also makes it very easy for YOU to become a Demonstrator.  Starting today, and for the next 2 weeks, YOUR Starter Kit is just $25!!!  What could be easier than that?  Julie joined my team this morning!  WELCOME JULIE!

Let me answer any questions you may have about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator ~ really, there is no long term obligation.  If, and when, you decide to once again become a non-demonstrator, no one will frown at you or shake their finger in your face ~ remember, no SU! police!  I have time to take you to lunch this week, or next, if you'd like more information!

Quick Halloween Tags and a Thank You

Washi tape is such a fun, easy way to add a little bit of pattern to a project. The Witches’ Brew Designer Washi Tape was the perfect addition to this quick treat tag. I love how the skulls show through the die-cut H window (made using the Big Shot and the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die). The chevron pattern tape adds a little pop of color in seconds.

Let us know in the comments below what’s been your favorite use for Designer Washi Tapes?

Now for the surprise! We’ve reached a milestone--250 posts on our blog--and we want to celebrate with you! Beginning today (October 3), we will begin a series of Thank You Thursdays posts, where we will offer discounted products for one day only (while supplies last)!

Visit the blog each Thursday in October to see the new deal. And thank you for helping to make our blog an inspiring place to be!
