Blessed Easter

We made this pretty card at Katie Holley's Stampin' Up! party on Wednesday afternoon this week.  Thanks Katie ~ loved stamping with you!

Fancy Fold Card

Supplies:

Stamps:  Happy Watercolor, page 22OC; Blessed Easter, p 20OC

Card stock:  Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe

Ink:  Crisp Cantaloupe, So Saffron, Pistachio Pudding, Black StazOn

Punches:  2 ½” Circle Punch, p 182AC; Artisan Label Punch, p 181AC

Accessories:  Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, p191AC; Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8” Ruffle Stretch Trim, p 141AC; Dimensionals & Sticky Strip, p 175AC

 Cutting directions:

          1.  Crisp Cantaloupe base card, 4 ¼” x 5 ½”

          2.  5 ¼” x 9 ½”, scored at 2 ½” and 5 ½”

 1.  Emboss left 2 ½” panel with the Polka Dots folder.  The Stampin’ Up! logo is on the top and should be facing you so that the dots will emboss upward.

2.  Fold on the score line and punch circle.  I mark my punch with a small pencil line to be able to be consistent w this card.

3.  Stamp background w three colors.  Stamp tulip image on top.

4.  Add Ruffled Ribbon with Sticky Strip.  STICKY STRIP HINTS:  Burnish the red plastic, top side, once it is on your card stock.  Use your BONE FOLDER and go over it several times this attaches it more firmly to the card stock making it easier to pull off the red plastic.  Secondly, if you do not entirely cover the adhesive with your ruffle ribbon, use your EMBOSSING BUDDY, to eliminate the sticky surface.

5.  Punch Label Punch twice ~ stamp first, punch on Whisper White.  Punch out Crisp Cantaloupe and cut in half.  Trim word label w Cantaloupe & add with Dimensionals.

I finally finished my wreath!

Wreath Kit
It took me a while but I finally finished my wreath and I love it.  I have it hanging in the studio to celebrate the arrival of Spring!  One of the problems I had with Stampin' Up!'s basic kit, above, was that there wasn't any leaves included.  I have to have some leaves when I have flowers so I just made some using the Autumn Accents Bigz die, #127812.  I also added a little bit of gold foil using the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, #129404, to create small flowers.  What do you think?
