Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit

I know you have heard me say, over and over, that our stamping mistakes just provide opportunities (there are no mistakes in stamping!).  Today at our team meeting, Kris Hoppock provided a sterling example with her swap cards.  We swapped 2 x 2 cards and the theme was fall.  Those are Kris' fabulous 2 x 2 leaves above.  She shared her 'sad' story at the beginning of the meeting ~ when she was preparing her cards, leaves stamped but not cut out, she wanted to add a little Crystal Effects (one of my fav products).  Unfortunately (or, fortunately judging from the results) the top to the bottle was not on tight and she literally poured the liquid all over her stamped leaves!  Horrified, she tried to brush the Crystal Effects off but it had already pooled and started to dry creating a thick layer of shiny goo!  She gave up, let it dry, cut out her leaves the next day and created the lovely 2x2 below.  Thanks for sharing Kris!  Great results!!!

Favorite stamp set & DSP ~ what's yours?

I got a chance this past weekend to do something that I had wanted to do for a long time!  After my FRIGHTFUL WREATH CLASS on Saturday morning I started 'playing with' my FOR ALL THINGS stamp set.  I love the FALL images in that set and I had wanted to make a framed piece using 2" x 2" squares for a very long time.  My other love on page 41 in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Catalog is the COLOR ME AUTUMN DSP so I combined the two ~ they are perfect for each other!  Here's what I came up with ~

I layered each 2" x 2" square on a contrasting 2 1/8" x 2 1/8" piece of card stock and adhered them to Very Vanilla.  I layered the Very Vanilla on a 12" x 12" piece of Always Artichoke before framing it.  It's a perfect Fall addition to the Studio.  If you are interested in this stamp set or the DSP you can click on the pictures below to go to my online store or just give me a call.  In the meantime, here is another PROJECT SHEET for you ~ Color Me Autumn.  Just click on the link to download it!
