SUDSOL Blog Tour!

Today is the SUDSOL Blog Tour so I want to welcome everyone to my mini-series on Stampin' Up!'s Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit.  I have been having so much fun with it for the last three days.  This will be my last post about these stars so I wanted to show you some of the various sizes of stars decorated with all of the embellishments in the kit.

But, first of all, what is SUDSOL?  It is a fabulous resource for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators providing support with business and creative ideas every day of the year.  I have been a member for almost all of my 15 years as a Demonstrator!  I highly recommend you take advantage of their two week FREE trial!

Many Merry Stars

Merry & Bright

This is the largest star in the MANY MERRY STARS KIT.  I finished it last night.  Everything on the star is in the kit so all you have to do is put it together.  The KIT is available tomorrow, October 20, so let me know if you are interested ~ I am definitely placing a STAR ORDER.  Can't you just see this as part of your holiday home decor?

Stamp-a-Stack Saturday & Stars!

I had a wonderful morning with friends ~ Abby, Barb, Pam, Donna, Gigi, Mary and Chrissy!  While they stamped away the morning making 12 cards I worked on my STAR KIT from Stampin' Up! that arrived this week ~ so much fun!  I started the kit on Thursday with my friend and sister-in-law, Rosie ~

Stars ~ lots of product

The MANY MERRY STARS KIT is available on Monday and, I think, it is a real bargain ~ lots of product at a reasonable price.  The kit makes 26 stars in 6 sizes in Gold Glimmer Paper, Kraft, Cherry Cobbler, White and Garden Green.  It includes bows, tags, banners, laser-cut snowflakes (above), silver sequins and gold Baker's Twine.

Stars ~ construction

The stars are 3-D ~ there is a top and bottom star and the die-cut adhesive side strips to hold the star together.  I will post more stars soon ~ the ones I decorated today ~ but, if you are interested in stars for the holidays, let me know.  Stampin' Up! has designated this product WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.  I will be ordering on Monday ~ the first day the kit is available to Stampin' Up! Customers ~ that's YOU.  Thanks for stopping by!  Susan Elise

My friend, Adrienne, had a Christmas Card Party on Friday evening and invited friends.  Two of the friends had never stamped before and they both were fabulous (plus, they had a good time!).  If you would like to have a PARTY, just let me know ~ it is soooo easy ~ all you do is invite several friends to the Cat/Art Studio and I do all the work.  No work ~ lots of fun ~ EMAIL ME for the details!

Kick up yer heels!

Kick up your Heels 1

I made this birthday card this weekend ~ quickly ~ for a dear friend.  Quickly to get it in the mail and, quickly, because I used a darling 2 x 2 card made by my friend, Margaret Spencer.  I love having a little pile of 2 x 2 cards in my studio so that I can convert them quickly to a card or a tag.  Thanks, Margaret!

And now, back to the glimmer paper....

Calendar Class glimmer

I wanted to create a patriotic look for my July Calendar Card.  Stampin' Up! carries glimmer paper in Red and White (Dazzling Diamonds) but I needed to create a pretty blue.  I filled a small spray bottle about 3/4 full of rubbing alcohol (70%) and added Night of Navy ink refill.  Once it is mixed spray on the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and let dry.  You can make any color you would like!  Thanks for stopping by!  Susan Elise

PS:  If you'd like to make your 2015 Calendar I have two more classes, one on Wednesday, October 29, at 6 PM and one on Sunday afternoon, November 2, at 2 PM.
