Terracotta Warriors....

The Terracotta Army or the "Terracotta Warriors and Horses" is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BCE and whose purpose was to protect the emperor in his afterlife.

And, Stampin' Up! style.............

Tacky tags?

Tacky tags?  Saturday morning was our team meeting for Southern Stars and one of the things that we did was to have a TACKY TAGS CONTEST.  Tacky tags?  The problem seemed to be that it was rather difficult for those that participated to create a tacky Christmas tag.  So, I thought I would let you VOTE.  Let me know which of the four tags YOU would choose as the tackiest.....I have a prize for the first person who chooses the winner of our Southern Stars contest.....

Janie Dodge & Holiday Home

Janie's card

Janie Dodge brought her Christmas card to stamp club this week.  She has been doing a lot of stamping and said that she thought she would be making about twenty of these for 'special' people!  The stamp set is Holiday Home and you can find it on page 16 of the Holiday Catalog.  It is bundled with a set of framelits to make it easy and to save 15%.  Here's another sample using the same set and, at the bottom, a pdf for you to print off and use for your own cards ~ just click on the link.  Thanks for stopping by!  Susan Elise

Big News ~ Shelli's cards

I was walking the newest member of my team, Southern Stars, through the Stampin' Up! website yesterday afternoon and found a new post on Shelli's blog that I wanted to share with you.  Lynne, brand new Southern Star, was amazed at what a fabulous resource the Stampin' Up! website is for demonstrators ~ so much to enjoy with creative ideas, videos, business strategies ~ loads of information!  Lynne signed up last week when the STARTER KIT was reduced to $75!  She has been stamping a year with me and she has such a long WISH LIST that the most economical approach was to join and purchase using our discount!  Good decision, Lynne!

Shelli's cards are all made using the stamp set, BIG NEWS, that you can find on page 68 in the annual catalog.  I'll post six cards total so be sure and check back tomorrow for more!
