3 x 3 swaps for Leadership

3 x 3 swap card 2015

I leave Wednesday morning for Stampin' Up!'s annual Leadership event in Orlando (hopefully it won't still be snowing).  I have signed up to be in two swaps so I have been working all weekend on my 3 x 3 cards (30) and my card fronts (40).  My 3 x 3 cards are finished so I thought you might like to see them ~ isn't that a pretty stamp AND don't the blendabilities work really well with it?  What do you think?  I love the 3 x 3 swap because I always need a little card to add to a gift and now I will have 30 little cards stashed away for any occasion!  YEA!  Here is what I used to make these cards.  Thanks for stopping by, Susan Elise

Lotus Blossom lesson 5

There are two stems in the stamp set, Lotus Blossom, but I used ust one.  Notice that I am stamping on a spongy surface using my Stampin' Pierce Mat (#126199, $4.95, page 218 in the Annual Catty).  I have covered it with scrap copy paper and use it with my photopolymer stamps to create a soft surface to stamp into.

Lotus Blossom lesson 6

Stamp the saying with Elegant Eggplant ink.

Lotus Blossom lesson 7

Add yellow ribbon from page 4 in the Salebration brochure ~ Best Year Ever Accessory Pack. and layer your card.  Check below for all of the ingredients and, if you would like to purchase everything to make this card, give me a call or go to my online store.  If you have any questions about using this stamp set let me know.  Tomorrow ~ additiional color combinations that you can use with Lotus Blossom.  Thanks & Happy Friday!  Susan Elise

Lotus Blossom

Lotus blossom

This stamp set, Lotus Blossom, is part of Stampin' Up!'s Salebration Brochure this year and one that my stamp clubs used all month.  I wanted to provide a little more information on how to use it since it is a 3-step stamping process.

Lotus Blossom lesson 1

I used three different colors of ink ~ Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum and Wisteria Wonder for the flower.  The photopolymer stamps themselves are numbered 1, 2 & 3 (that's a first for Stampin' Up!) so that we will know in which order to use them.  I put each stamp on top of the corresponding color of ink to make it easier, and quicker, for me.

Lotus blossom lesson 2

This is No. 1 and it is stamped in the darkest color, Elegant Eggplant.

Lotus Blossom lesson 3

The second stamp is stamped over the first using Perfect Plum ~ line up the peak on the left of the flower.  Because you are using photopolymer, you can see easily where to place your stamp.

Lotus Blossom lesson 4

The last flower stamp is the lightest.  Stamp Wisteria Wonder lining up with peak of the flower on the left.  I will finish the card for you on the next post.  I know you will enjoy this stamp set!  Susan Elise
