News from Stampin' Up!

Blendies

I wanted you to know as soon as possible ~ news from Stampin' Up! ~ they have identified potential problems with our new markers, Blendabilities, and, rather than continue to allow us to order flawed products they have pulled all the order numbers.  That means that I can not order them from the catalog and I can't add them to an order as a FREE SALE-A-BRATION product.  I am sorry because I know they are very popular!  I am sure that Stampin' Up! will be providing additional information about resolving this problem soon but, for now, that is all I know.  If you have questions, please let me know, and I will post additional information as soon as I can.  Susan Elise

Think Spring

Cindy Schuster, 2014-2015 Artisan Design Team for Stampin' Up!, posted the prettiest card and I just had to post it for you.  We all need a little Spring about now!

Third Thursday Class cancelled again....

This is the second cancellation of my THIRD THURSDAY CLASS for February!  It is a beautiful reason to cancel ~ a snow scene out of every window in the studio.  Our theme this month was to be birthday cards so I think we will move that theme right into March ~ everyone needs birthday cards!!!  In the meantime, I have collected some samples to share with you in case you have some extra stamping time today and tomorrow!  March's class will be on the 19th ~ hope you can come ~ it will be almost SPRING!  Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!

Stampin' Up! has lowered the price of the 3 month prepaid subscription. During Sale-A-Bration (until March 31) you  can save money and instantly qualify for a FREE product!

Why did Stampin' Up! choose to discount the 3 month subscription?  Because all good things come in threes!  Here are three things we know you'll love.
  1. Save $5.00 on your subscription.
  2. The price point instantly qualifies for a FREE Sale-a-Bration product.

Adventure Bound

One of my favorite BUNDLES in the Occasions Catalog is the ADVENTURE BUNDLE ~ it includes the Adventure Awaits stamp set and Adventure  Bound Designer Series Paper Pack.  There are 48 sheets in the stack, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs, sized just right for a card or a scrapbook page background, 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" (I recently used several for a 12" x 12" scrapbook page.)  You can find some nice samples on page 40 in the catty.  We used this bundle in my STAMP-A-STACK CLASS on Saturday morning.  Here is the card we made ~ and, a pdf with directions for you to print off and enjoy!  Let me know if you have any questions.  Susan Elise

Third Thursday Class rescheduled....

Birthday balloon

My Third Thursday Class was cancelled this week due to the weather ~ snow and ice!  It is rescheduled for this coming Thursday afternoon/evening ~ February 26 ~ and is now the official Fourth Thursday Class!  I hope you'll join me!  This is a monthly class for stamping friends to get together to make six cards, 2 each of 3 designs.  The theme changes monthly ~ this month it is birthday cards.  The class is $15 or free if you place a minimum order during class.  Class starts any time after 4:30 in the afternoon, is very casual and all you bring is your adhesive.  Give me a call in the studio, 587-1548, or email me if you will be able to join us for some stamping fun!

Guest Artist: Janie Dodge

I absolutely LOVE this email that I got from my friend, Janie Dodge, yesterday afternoon and I asked if I could share it with you.  Janie is a teacher with a little extra time on her hands this week ~ can you say SNOW DAYS?  She put her time to good use and created this lovely card with the hostess set, Bloom with Hope, on page 240 in the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  Gorgeous!!!  Love the random polka dots!  Thanks, Janie!

Janie's card

Here is my newest card.   With 2 snow days and no school I have been busy organizing my stamp room and making cards.  I love the stamp set, Bloom With Hope.   When I was going through my stamping room I discovered a large stash of brads, eyelets, etc.   I am trying to use them, but much prefer the rhinestones colored with Blendabilities.  The rhinestones and prettier, easier, and lighter.    It makes me wonder what StampinUp will introduce next.

My street is still heavy with ice, but my mailman made it through today.
