Acorn Candy Cookies

Acorns

My sister, Sarah, brought a cooking magazine when she came up last week and I saw these cute cookies!  I love acorn images (they matched my swap card!) so I made these little cookies for my team last weekend.  I thought you might like to try them.  You will need store-bought chocolate frosting, Hershey Kisses, mini vanilla wafers and butterscotch chips.  I used the chocolate frosting as the 'glue' and put a little on the bottom of the vanilla wafer then added the Hershey Kiss.  Hold it together for a couple of seconds and then add the butterscotch kiss to the top in the same way.  Let stand for the frosting to set.  Cookies can be made 3 days ahead and kept in an airtight container at a cool room temperature.  Yummy (and easy)!
