Reminder ~ Thoughtful Branches

Three panel marketing from SU

I wanted to remind you that this set will no longer be available on September 1 ~ THURSDAY THIS WEEK ~ as Stampin' Up! introduced it for one month only.  If you have gone to PINTEREST and searched for this set you have found endless ideas that are fabulous.  I just wanted to remind you in case you would like it but hadn't ordered it yet!  Here is another great idea that I found on one of my sites for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators ~ don't you just love it?  Credit to Barbara Welch!

Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate

Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate picture

Have you seen this product in the 1016-17 STAMPIN' UP! CATALOG?  I bet you missed it because it is on the PAPER BASICS PAGE all the way at the bottom.  Get your catalog and look on page 175, left hand corner.  You will find acetate 12 x 12 sheets with gold on one side and silver on the other side.  I used these sheets in my CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST CLASS last week.  The funny thing was that I wanted to use the silver but all I saw was the gold design ~ I thought I was going to have to buy another whole package of the color I wanted.  NOT.  When I finally flipped them over, there was silver!  Nice surprise.  Here is the card that we created.  I will post the PROJECT SHEET for this card later this week so be sure and stop by!  Susan Elise

One Sheet Wonder ~ remember that?

I know that some of you (who have been stamping with me all these years) will remember that term ~ ONE SHEET WONDER.  I hadn't used it, or the technique, in ages.  But, this afternoon, when I was unpacking a big box from STAMPIN' UP! for my stamping friends I was wondering what TAGS I was going to use on the packages.  The stamp set that I have been using the last two days was open, the stamps were on the blocks, and the ink pads were out and waiting.  PURRRFECT!  The stamp set is from the annual catalog ~ so pretty that I couldn't help but order it for myself ~ PENNED & PAINTED.  Look it up on page 143.

One sheet wonder 1

Penned & Painted is a three step stamp set.  My first step was to use one of the flowers.  I stamped the flower in FLIRTY FLAMINGO, then in CALYPSO CORAL  and added the line stamp in WATERMELON WONDER.

Next I added the leaves.  I used PEAR PIZZAZ, WILD WASABI and the details with GARDEN GREEN.

This is a close up of the stamp on the 12" x 12" Whisper White card stock.  Next I cut it up and made tags for my packages.  It was a good afternoon!  Thanks for stopping by ~ Susan Elise

Christmas in August Class

Christmas in August card w tree

I had my CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST CARD CLASS last night ~ this was one of the cards that everyone made.  I had three different cards and each person made three of each card leaving with 9 cards to add to the 9 they made in July!  This panel on this card uses stamps from the stamp set THOUGHTFUL BRANCHES ~ only available for a few more days as Stampin' Up! has designated it an AUGUST SPECIAL.  The other products used in this card will be listed below but I did want to give you a little more information about the Designer Series Paper.  It is one of the best deals in the annual catalog.  THIS CHRISTMAS SPECIALTY DSP is a lightweight Christmas paper including sheet music ~ 24 sheets, 4 each of each design, double sided 12" x 12'.  Acid free and lignin free.  It is a great package if you are making a large number of holiday cards for yourself or to sell at an upcoming craft event.  I will be continuing my CHRISTMAS CARD CLASS each month this Fall ~ let me know if you would like to join us ~ it's a great way to get your cards ready EARLY!!! Technique: Double Z Fold Card

Z Fold Strawberry Card

This card uses two of my favorite products in the Annual Catalog ~ the LAYERING LOVE stamp set and the FRUIT STAND Designer Series Paper!  The DOUBLE Z refers to the way the card and the layered strip are both folded to create the Z shape.  Here are the directions for the card ~ click on the link to print off the project sheet ~  enjoy!

Banners for Christmas

Banners for Christmas picture from SU\

I have been creating Christmas cards for my CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST CLASS tomorrow night and found this Stampin' Up! picture using the stamp set, BANNERS FOR CHRISTMAS.  I don't have this stamp set (of course) but love the way they used the candy cane and the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.  The center piece on the card on the right actually becomes an ornament for your Christmas tree ~ how cute is that?  My CHRISTMAS IN SEPTEMBER CLASS will be on Wednesday, September 28.  Won't you join me?
