Have you found Vintage Leaves?

Vintage Leaves

With the arrival of Stampin' Up!'s HOLIDAY CATALOG  and the emphasis on Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas I almost lost track of one of my favorite seasons, FALL.  This morning I went searching for my favorite Fall stamp set, VINTAGE LEAVES, as it had been hiding behind some newer sets from the new catalog.  (You can find it on page 37 in the annual catalog!) Found it and I am looking forward to using it tomorrow!  In the meantime, here is a pretty Fall card for you ~ easy and quick!  Just click below to download the instructions.

Katy's card October 2016

Katy brought these pretty cards to our October STAMP CLUB meeting and I asked if I could share them with you.  The cards are such HAPPY CARDS perfect to send some who needs a little cheer up!

Katy's card 2

The stamp set, JAR OF LOVE, is on page 75 in Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalog.  It is perfect for shaker cards or any occasion as it includes 13 greetings in the set!  Also, it can be bundled with EVERYDAY JARS FRAMELITS DIES so that you don't have to fussy cut the jars or the flowers!  Here are two more possibilities ~

Trick or Treat

Card from Debra Tack 2016

Definitely a treat!  I received this card in the mail today from a lovely Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Debra Tack,  who lives in the state of Washington.  We met at lunch during a Stampin' Up! Convention years ago.  I really don't even remember what year but we have been sending cards to each other ever since.  And, the connection?  Well, besides Stampin' Up! the connection is our cats.  Her cat, Mr. Charlie, is not with her any more (and has not been 'replaced' ~ if I were closer I would take a kitty to her) but, when we send cards there is always a cat in the picture!  Love this card!  Thank you, Debra!

Swaps continued........

I tried to post my team swaps for you almost a week ago but was rudely interrupted by the storms' aftermath.  No internet, no computer use for several days.  I didn't want to forget so here are the rest of the swaps from our meeting on October 8th.

Getting your fingers inky................or, not.........

  Merry Everything happy always

I used the new DESIGNER SERIES PAPER ~ FANCY FROST  ~ on this card along with the SUITE SEASONS stamp set and the CHRISTMAS PINES BUNDLE.  I love having the copper embossing powder and the copper foil sheets ~ they add so much.  I will let you know more about the card but wanted you to see the video about the DSP first (I did post this video on September 20 but thought you wouldn't mind seeing it again ~ with my card!)

In addition to the information on the different ways to color this embossed designer series paper I used my new GO TO TOOL ~ CLEAR WINK OF STELLA ~ to highlight the embossed leaves and add a touch of sparkle.  No inky fingers with this tool!  I have a terrible time 'catching the sparkle' in a photograph ~ sorry about that.  Here are the other products used to make the card ~

Totally Trees

Card for 2nd Thursday class

This is one of our cards I created for the CRAFTY THURSDAY CLASS yesterday using the stamp set TOTALLY TREES.  I will put the images of the products I used at the end of the post but I wanted to show you another tree I found at the BOTANICAL GARDEN this afternoon.

And, it was only a week ago that 2" of rain was predicted!  What a storm!  I hope all of you managed to be safe and untouched by the damaging wind and rain.  Back to stamping ~ here are the products that we used in the card above.  We used the Kraft card stock folded in thirds so that the panel lifted up.  I added the note cards and envelopes because this stamp set lends itself easily to that size card.  You can click on any of the pictures below and you will be taken directly to the product description in the Stampin' Up! catalog for more information or to order.  Thanks for stopping by!  Susan Elise

Hello December Project Life Kit

So sorry for no new posts since Saturday but I haven't had internet to use because of the storm.  I resume today with an interesting video while I catch up with my stamp clubs yesterday and today and a class tomorrow.  (My CLASS tomorrow is my THIRD THURSDAY CLASS and you are welcome to join us.  Give me a call (757-587-1548) by 10 PM this evening and I will add your name for some fun card making with friends!)  I will be back to my blog soon and, in the meantime, thanks for stopping by!  Susan Elise

With the holidays approaching, I wanted to share this video from Stampin' Up! showcasing the HELLO DECEMBER PROJECT LIFE CARD KIT!     This KIT makes scrapbooking and crafting fun and easy, no matter how busy your life.  Take a look:

STARS Team Meeting this afternoon ~ before the rain!

Swap 1

STARS TEAM MEETING this afternoon and the subject of our swap was cards for the upcoming holidays and New Years.  This pretty card uses the stamp set FLURRY OF WISHES on page 29 in the annual catalog.  It was created by Marion Swaim.  We met for lunch ~ thanks to everyone for bringing a favorite dish!  Our FLORIDA STAR, Dawn Duval, spoke to our group about building our business ~ great ideas!

Swap 2

This card uses CHRISTMAS PINES stamp set.  You can find the BUNDLE (to include the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies) on page 19 in the Holiday Catalog.  This is Monica's card.  Monica lives in Northern Virginia and drove down for our meeting.  Not such a good day for a drive but she is home safe now ~ thank goodness!

Swap 3
