Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  This is a simple new year's card ~ quick and easy ~ to send to friends today!  The Pretty Paisleys Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is retiring with the end of the Holiday Catalog (January 3).  I have a list ~ Holiday Carryover List ~ that you can find by going back through the posts on my blog.  The list is in the December 2 blog post and you can print it out to see what current products will be available after January 3.  Let me know if you have any questions and enjoy the evening celebrations!  Susan Elise

July through December 2017

If you have any questions about the months I have posted let me know.  Also, if you are interested in the template for the months I would be happy to email that to you.  I printed the months on Whisper White card stock ~ 2 of the same month on 8 1/2" x 11", then cut them down to the correct size for the calendar holder (similar to a CD holder).  HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Susan Elise

2017 is right around the corner......

I plan a CATALOG CLASS annually to get ready for the new year.  The class is scheduled in the Fall because many of my stamping friends not only want their own calendar but also want to give the handmade calendars as gifts during the holidays.  I love the stories they tell about how their friends 'expect' the next calendar!  Today I will post the first six months that we created for 2017.  I also wanted to give credit to my friend, Katy Bryant, who was my Artistic Consultant this year (and last).  Katy sat down in the studio with me to 'discuss' which of the many stamp sets would fit into the monthly themes for 2017 ~ she was such a help to me!  Thanks, Katy!

I will be posting my 2017 CALENDAR for the next two days.  I held the classes in October, November and December and I can share the template if you are interested.  Thanks for stopping by!  Susan Elise

Christmas Eve cards..

Dawn O's card

This pretty card is from my friend, Dawn Olchefske, a Stampin' Up! demonstrator from Minnesota.  We served on the Advisory Board together several years ago ~ a wonderful experience and a wonderful and very talented lady.

Leslee's card

Isn't this combination of colors terrific?  The green is Emerald Envy and is a 2016-2018 In Color.  I goes so well with Real Red.  The card was created by Leslee Holston in Yorktown and is part of my team of demonstrators, Southern Stars.  She is a busy lady with two sons, her own Stampin' Up! business and she helps her husband with his business.  I hope you have a lovely Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, that you are surrounded by friends and family, yummy things to eat and a special little surprise along the way.  Susan Elise

Holly & Ribbon

Katy's card

Katy Bryant wrapped her card in ribbon and embossed the greeting in gold for an old-fashioned looking Christmas greeting.  Pretty.

Phyllis card

This pretty notecard is from my friend, Phyllis, using the stamp set Tin of Tags (page 33 in the Holiday Catalog) and the Tin of Tags Project Kit ~ a quick, easy and very effective combination!  Thanks Phyllis!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy every minute of the season.  Susan Elise

Thoughtful Branches

Lynne's soft sky card

I have two beautiful cards to share with you today and they are both made with the same stamp set, THOUGHTFUL BRANCHES.  Lynne Galewski made the card above.  Look carefully to see the 'snow' created by Stampin' Up!'s Softly Falling embossing folder (#139672, page 195 in the annual catalog).  Lynne also added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the branches of the tree which is hard to see in the picture but so very pretty in person.

Melissa's card

Melissa Burroughs used the same stamp to create a beautiful card that is totally different than the one Lynne created.  She used the coordinating set of dies to cut out the tree just like Lynne did.  Melissa cut out two trees and placed one on top of the other slightly to the side giving extra dimension.  She layered the card using red foil ~ so pretty!

Card ideas continued................

Agnes' card

This pretty card is from Agnes Leach who lives in Yorktown and has been an active stamp club member for years.  Her stamp club meets on a Wednesday morning and the hostess brings lunch for everyone ~ super good lunches!  Star of Light is the stamp set and it is bundled with the Starlight Thinlit dies in the Holiday catalog (page 9).

Lea Ann's card

This star studded card is by Lea Ann Ewell who lives in Ocean View.  Great way to use the 'merry' thinlit (Christmas Greetings Thinlits, page 192 in the annual catalog)!

Sally's card

This classic card is from Sally Schwaner who lives in Yorktown and is the #1 LIBRARIAN at NASA!  A creative lady who makes cards to sell.  One of her customers is a real estate agent who sends Sally's cards to her customers!  Great idea!  Thanks for sharing ladies!  Susan Elise
