Make a Medallion

On Thursday last week I posted a card that I made using the new stamp set, Make a Medallion.  I was highlighting the glimmer paper in that post and used the Bermuda Bay glimmer paper underneath the medallion that I had stamped.  Today, Stampin' Up! has a new video with Carrie demonstrating how to use the stamp set ~ and, letting all of us know how easy it is to achieve really elegant results with it.  This stamp set would have been impossible if it had not been created in photopolymer which allows us to line the design up perfectly (or, purrrrrrfectly if you are in the Cat/Art Studio)!  It is a Sale-A-Bration stamp set so we have one more month before it disappears on March 31.  Enjoy,  Susan Elise

Swap Cards

Our SOUTHERN STARS TEAM MEETING was last Saturday afternoon and one of the things that we always do is swap cards.  Our theme for this month was to use any of the stamp sets, or products, in the Sale-a-bration catalog.  I thought you might like to see the results ~

Watercolor Pencils 101

I taught my first WATERCOLOR 101 class on Sunday afternoon and it was so much fun!  So happy to have Julie, Cyndi, Rusty, Dixie, Adrienne and Donna join me to use the new WATERCOLOR PENCILS.  The box of 13 pencils can provide so much creative fun but, until you know a little about how to use them can also be a little stressful.  My 101 class helps to get past that feeling and into some relaxing creative fun.  My next 101 class will be on Saturday morning, March 11, at 10 ~ let me know if you'd like to join me.  (And, yes, for those of you who would like to know MORE there will be a 102 class ~ March 19!)

NEW crafting products for you....

Stampin' Up! news on the watercolor pencils.....

 

Watercolor Pencils Update

As many of you may be aware, we are experiencing an extremely high demand for our Watercolor Pencils (item 141709). If sales maintain their current levels, inventory in all markets will sell out within 2–3 weeks; if demand increases, our supply will deplete sooner.

Though we felt we had ordered more than enough units, the three-month supply of this product sold out within two months. We ordered two more shipments in response to high demand, yet sales continued to outpace projections while production slowed due to the Chinese New Year holiday; therefore, it will be necessary for us to place this item in not-orderable status as soon as our current inventory is depleted for each market.

Our next shipment will leave the factory in mid-April. In order to get this product into the hands of our demonstrators and customers as quickly as possible, we will air freight it to our various markets so that it arrives by the end of April.

We hope that by communicating this situation to you now, you will have plenty of time to prepare for this item’s interruption in availability. Please note that when you enter this product’s item number in OEX on a customer, demonstrator, or workshop order, you will receive a pop-up notification asking if you would like to be notified via email when it is back in stock. This will allow you to find out immediately when its status changes and it is again available to purchase.

Here you can see another one of the small square dies that comes with the bundle, WINDOW SHOPPING.  This candle die and the one with the heart design both need to be treated a little differently because of their obvious orientation (you don't want your candles upside down, do you?).  Click on this link to see a video about this process.
