Only two more days to order any of the retiring stamp sets from the 2016 - 2017 Stampin' Up! catalog. This is a quick and easy card I made yesterday to share with two of my friends that are 'under the weather' ~ Cheryllynn and Esma. The onesie stamp set (Get Well Soon #138768) is quick and easy to use ~ I embossed the stamp with gold embossing powder and cut it out (sorry no thinlit die)! Today was START MY DSP CHARTS in the Cat/Art Studio. I haven't been able to order all of the different Designer Series Paper yet but I wanted to use what I had ~ Fresh Florals Stack, Wood Textures Stack, Pick a Pattern and Eastern Palace Specialty are all in the picture. I also wanted YOU to know that I am having a PAPER SHARE this year. My Guest Artist today is Ann Butler. Ann is a talented stamper who is a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and a part of my team, Southern Stars. Our monthly team meeting was last Saturday and our swap theme was using the new IN COLORS. Ann used FRESH FIG for her Father's Day card ~ so clever. The stamp set is NAILED IT and it is retiring in a week. Like I said yesterday ~ I don't know why because it is a very usable stamp set (guy cards!).
This is the inside of Ann's card. The message is HAPPY FATHER'S DAY and under the message is SAWDUST! Too funny, Ann! Love it!
I am sure that everyone has a few favorites that are retiring at the end of the month. I thought I would share two of mine ~ Gorgeous Grunge and Wetlands. Sometimes it is hard to figure out the WHY, right? Recently, I used Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Soft Suede (and lots of water) to create this card.
The right side of the card was affected by the amount of water I used, it buckled the cardstock even after it dried. I did use shimmery white cardstock which is heavier than Whisper White. I would try Watercolor Paper next time. Here is how you stamp the colors before you spritz it.

I have heard from so many of you that you have your 2017-2018 annual catalog and I have heard nice comments about the contents. I am so happy to hear that! I made some comparison charts for the new IN COLORS and I wanted to show them to you ~ it is always easier for me to see (using the charts) how the new colors fit in with our traditional collections.
