Marie's card & Embossing Paste Video

This is Marie Shaughnessy's card from our meeting on Saturday afternoon.  Isn't it darling?  She used a new product in the Stampin' Up! catalog, Embossing Paste, to create the texture in the clouds.  She also demonstrated the product showing all of us how to use it.  You can find the Paste on page 201 along with a set of Masks and a set of Palette Knives that you use with the paste.  Thanks Marie ~ super demonstration!

Busy Team Meeting yesterday afternoon............

My friends and team members met yesterday afternoon for our monthly meeting.  We welcomed a brand new demonstrator, Janice Forker, who actually signed up after the meeting ~ welcome, Janice.  Our swap for the meeting was a WILD CARD SWAP which meant we could use any stamp set and any technique that we wanted to.  I wanted to post the cards today to give you some new ideas for your personal card making on what may be a rainy Sunday (big clouds outside my window).

This is Marti Jones' card and she made it into a gift card holder inside.  She also used Wink of Stella on the design.

This is Wendy Osborn's card.  Wendy used the new Daisy Punch and the matching DSP.

This is Lynn Galewski's card using the stamp set REMARKABLE YOU.  The flower is embossed in gold and is absolutely stunning 'in person'.  My camera just didn't pick up the shine.

This is Denise Caudron's monochromatic card using the new IN COLOR BERRY BURST.

This is my card and I used the COLOR THEORY SUITE on page 146 in the new catalog.  I have one more fabulous card that I will post tomorrow.  Marie Shaughnessy created a darling card using the THIS LITTLE PIGGY stamp set and EMBOSSING PASTE.  She was our presenter for our meeting and did a fabulous job!  Thanks Marie!

Melissa's idea..........

At Stamp Club on Tuesday night we were discussing the new products in Stampin' Up!'s 2017-2018 catalog ~ I love to hear what my friends think about the catalog and the products!  One of the products we were discussing was the new CARD PACKS ~ MEMORIES & MORE on page 190 in the catalog.  Stampin' Up! had something similar in previous catalogs (do you remember Project Life?).  Memories & More is coordinating packs of cards using all Stampin' Up! colors and designs for memory keeping and, of course, cardmaking.  The pages in the catalog showcasing this product start on page 190.  There are four card packages along with albums, journaling pens and page protectors.  As we reviewed the card pack that I have, COLOR THEORY, Melissa immediately said that the cards would be fabulous for card making and placed an order!  The pretty summer card below uses one of the cards in the Color Theory Card Pack along with a thinlit and stamp from the Colorful Seasons Bundle (page 147).  So easy and quick! Mini Dimensionals!!!

I got my box of goodies today and pulled out the mini-Dimensionals first thing.  I use them on almost every card.  And I almost always take the full size dimensionals and cut them in half.  

300 regular size dimensional in a pack for $4 (.013 cents each)

600 when you cut them in half (.0066 cents each)

720 mini dimensionals are $4 a pack and (.0055 cents each).

And they are sooooooooo cute!!!  I'm sold.  I'll get a few of the regular sized but I'm switching over to the mini's.

Soft Sayings continued...........

Here are the four cards that we will be making in class on Tuesday, June 27, for my SOFT SAYINGS CARD KIT CLASS.    We will be using the stamp set that comes with the kit.  Remember, EVERYTHING comes with the kit to make the 20 cards ~ this class will give you other ideas on how to use the stamp set.  Let me know if you would like to take the class as I have to order the kits soon so everyone has one the day of the class.  The kit, alone, is $35.00.  The kit and the class is $45.00 ~ let me know if you want to make lots of cards and have lots of fun!

Rosie took my last watercolor class and I took this picture ~ love this happy lady!  It is such a treat to see happy students and it is my WHY I DO THIS!  I have a WATERCOLOR PENCILS 101 class on Saturday morning ~ looking forward to more happy ladies!

You can find the WOOD TEXTURES SUITE on page 158 & 159 in the new catalog ~ don't miss it if you are looking for a unique gift idea or a clever way to decorate your table.  We made this little crate at our recent demonstrator meeting in Richmond.  It contains three cute little cards using the images in the stamp set, Wood Words.
