I've had lots of questions lately about DISTINKTIVE STAMPS.  I just found this video on the Stampin' Up! website where Tanner explains these new stamps and also shows a technique using the rose stamp from the stamp set, HEALING HUGS (page 110 in the annual catalog) and sponge daubers to create a beautiful image!  Check it out.  (More information on the way...)

Retiring In Colors

2018 -19 in-colors from catalogOne of the very best things about Stampin' Up! is the company's commitment to color consistency.  I was very impressed initially when I found a company that cared enough to make sure all of their products matched!  I had been matching colors for years in creating cards, scrapbook albums and calligraphy.  Stampin' Up! has 5 Color Collections:  Regals, Subtles, Brights, Neutrals and In Colors.

The In Color collection is a little different from our Core Collection.  It's broken down into 2 groups of 5 colors.  Each year 5 of the 10 colors is discontinued and we get 5 new colors.  It is Stampin' Up!'s way of staying current with the trendy colors in fashion and home decor.

The In Color Collections are named by the year they were introduced and the year that they will be discontinued.  For example, the collection retiring this year is named 2017-2019 In Colors.  They will be retired on June 3, 2019 (the date on the back of the annual catalog).  Once announced as 'retiring' the In Color products will be while supplies last and often sell out quickly.  Please check your supplies now ~ particularly your In Color ink refills.  As long as you can refill your stamp pads they will last forever!  Sale-A-Bration will be over very soon ~ it is a good time to order any in-color products that you are missing or have a limited supply.

CASE: copy and share everything

Stampin' Success page with Garden Impressions

As a demonstrator I receive a quarterly publication from Stampin' Up! called STAMPIN' SUCCESS.  The article above is from the 2nd Quarter publication I received the other day.  It is on page 13 and includes the instructions for making the card that you see on the page.  Stampin' Up! encourages us to CASE.  I happen to have the Garden Impressions DSP available so I decided to go ahead and CASE the card for you.

Guest Artist, Melissa Burroughs

Melissa sent me the picture below earlier in the week.  She had ordered the CALLIGRAPHY ESSENTIALS PROJECT KIT (146857) earlier and took it with her when they went away for the weekend.  The kit makes 16 cards, 4 each of 4 designs and includes everything to make the cards.  The CALLIGRAPHY ESSENTIALS stamp set (146783) coordinates with the kit and you can find all of the information on page 11 in Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalog.   Lovely Melissa ~ thanks for sharing!!!

While scanning through your OCCASIONS CATALOG, take a moment to check out the INCREDIBLE LIKE YOU PROJECT KIT on page 21.  Create your own beautiful cards for your family and friends in no time with this kit.  Take a look at what's in the kit that makes it so easy ~ Tanner explains ~

Project kits are so great when you are a new stamper, just love the idea of having everything in one box or you don't have time to start from scratch!   This kit will give you the luxury of creating over a dozen cards in one sitting.  I hope you enjoy the great product inspiration in the new catalog and on my blog ~ return often (and, let me know what you would like to see ~ I love your suggestions!).

Time for Tea!

My TIME FOR TEA CLASS was this morning.  I wanted to post the card we made and the project sheet for you.  We did a total of four projects and I probably wore everyone out (but, I didn't hear any complaints!).  We made the TEA TIN with three 3" x 3" note cards.  We also made a Tissue Gift for someone 'under the weather' and two cards using the MEMORIES & MORE TEA ROOM CARD PACK.  All of the projects coordinate with the TEA ROOM SUITE on page 14 and 15 in the annual catalog.

Rooted in Nature 2

Did you enjoy the ROOTED IN NATURE VIDEO I posted yesterday?  I think it is one of the best ones that Stampin' Up! has done ~ very professional with lots of ideas!  The embossing dies were particularly interesting, don't you think?  You can find the Nature's Poem Suite on pages 142, 143 and 144 in the annual catalog.  Share with me what you have created ~ I would love to use your ideas so be my GUEST ARTIST!  Here are some more samples of cards using this bundle.
