Wildflower Wishes

Paper Pumpkin February congrats card

Wildflower Wishes is the title of the February PAPER PUMPKIN KIT and this is one of the cards in the kit ~ so pretty.  If you received this kit this month refills are now available ~ the refills make 9 cards similar to the one above (the other sayings are FRIEND and THANK YOU).  The order number is #147520 and the refill kit is $8.00.

What's special about March 10?

Paper Pumpkin subscribe by March 10

Stampin' Up! introduced PAPER PUMPKIN five years ago.  Time flies, doesn't it?  If you subscribed during the first several years you might not have been impressed with the pretty red box that arrived in your mail box once a month.  I wasn't.  But, the last several years have proved very different with the quality of the contents in the box, the projects and the creativity!  I find myself enjoying it more and more.

I will post pictures, tomorrow, of this month's projects.  In the meantime ~ with a 3 month prepaid subscription you also receive your choice of SALE-A-BRATION products.  Definitely an advantage ~ so, put it on your TO DO LIST.  Give me a call if you have any questions or check the video, below, for answers.

Petal Passion Suite

DSP w card

I have loved watching the Olympics these last two weeks and I am a little sad that tomorrow is the last evening.  I need to keep busy while I am 'watching' TV and last night it was the pretty black & white designer series paper from the Petal Passion Suite that kept me entertained.  That paper and the BLENDS are a perfect match!

Card w Blends

The entire package of DSP (#145589) is designed in black and white.  Here is a video from Stampin' Up! and Shannon gives us all lots of ways to add color!  What a delicious suite!

Yummmmmmmmmm!

Pretzel

One of my Stamp Clubs met on Wednesday morning this week. The Gourmet Stamp Club has been meeting for years and their meetings always include more than stamping ~ the hostess always brings lunch!  Susan Tran was our hostess this week and I asked her if I could share her recipe for the delicious pretzels that were part of her lunch for everyone.  They are so good ~ hope you enjoy this recipe!

1 bag pretzels (no salt best) spread onto roasting pan

3/4 cup canola oil (I use 1/2 cup)

3 T Hidden Valley Ranch dry mix

1 tsp. dill

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Wisk oil with the other 4 ingredients,  Pour over the pretzels and use a spatula to mix well.  Sprinkle with oregano.  Bake at 250 for 15 minutes, stir, bake 15 minutes longer.  Cool by pouring onto tray lined with paper towels or parchment paper.  Serve to your stamping friends!

Tutti-Frutti Suite

Fruit Basket

This is one of the cards that we made at last weekend's BIRTHDAY CARD CLASS.  It uses the Fruit Basket stamp set & the Punch Pack bundled on page 29 in the Occasions Catalog.  The DSP is Tutti-frutti 6" x 6" Paper and the base card is featured in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog ~ which means it's free to all of us!  You can find the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes on page 14.  There are 16 sets of cards and envelopes in four tutti-fruitti colors!  The directions for the card are at the bottom of the post ~ enjoy!

Here are the other cards we made & we'll be making five more (and different) cards at my March Birthday Card Class on Sunday afternoon March 18 ~ join us!

Happy Presidents' Day

President's Day

Presidents' Day was originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington.  When I was in school it was celebrated on February 22, the date of his actual birthday.  It was changed in 1971 when Congress passed the Uniform Monday Holiday Act (providing three day weekends).  Mount Rushmore is located in the Black Hills of South Dakota and features Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln.  I would love to see it ~ on my bucket list!   Happy Presidents' Day!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Tangerine Tango 1

Two cards from my Birthday Card Class yesterday morning (we did five in all ~ two of each).  For this one we used the HAPPY BIRTHDAY thinlit (#143700) in Whisper White cardstock.  We used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets (#144106) because we needed all the die cut letters to adhere to the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper (#144125).  The sheets are easy to adhere to the cardstock and so much easier than using glue.

Perfect Party Project Picture

Our second card uses the Picture Perfect Party 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper on page 5 in the Occasions catalog and the Berry Burst 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon  on page 199 in Stampin' Up's annual catalog.  You can find the directions below.  Thanks for stopping by!
