New Stampin' Blends have arrived!

Stampin' Up! announced yesterday evening that the new BLENDS have arrived and we can order them now.  You can find the list of the new colors on page 205 in the catalog.  The colors with the small orange colored circle with the N in it are the new ones ~ you can order them as a single color or as a combo pack of two ~ one light and one dark.  Click on the cat at the top of this blog to go to my ONLINE STORE or send me an email and I will place your order for you.  I can't wait to see the new colors (and I will be placing my order soon ~ before they go on backorder!  Smile.)

Abstract Impressions Video

Remeber the sample card I showed you last week using the Abstract Impressions stamp set?  Well today I want to share with you a video from Stampin' Up! that talks all about the Abstract Impressions Bundle.  Watch as Natalie gives you some great tips for using this bundle:

You can find this bundle on page 129 of the catalog.  Remember, you get 10% when you purchase our bundles.  Plus, it's a great way to get coordinating products at a discount.  Whether you choose the stamp set or the bundle, it's a great stamp set to add to your collection.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Janie's Card

Susan Elise,

I love this stamp set. Thank you for posting an example in your blog.  It helped me get my creative juices started.

A stamp positioned, Stamparratus, is necessary.   I double stamped on the smooth side of the watercolor paper using Grapefriut Grove and then again using Tangerine Tango. After drying it was stamped again using Versa Mark.  I coated the card front with clear embossing powder then heat set the powder.

Now for the fun part I used ink refill drops on the stamp pad lids of Coastal Cabana, Cool Caribbean, and Ballet Blue.  I spayed the drops with water so there was a range of color in each of the 3 lids and begin liberally applying color with my Aqua Pen.

There were mistakes, but they were easily covered with glitter paper punched with a hole punch.

Fun, easy and fast.....but, best to have a Stamparratus for getting all 3 ink & Versa Mark layers placed correctly.

Lilypad Lake

Brusho swap card

I can't believe I haven't posted since last Thursday ~ so sorry.  My time was spent preparing for my New Catty Open House on Saturday and, after that, creating the card above for a swap with fellow demonstrators.  The swap is due the 27th and was mailed this morning ~ whew ~ just in time!

Brusho swap cards

This lovely card was designed by Marion Swaim, a wonderful demonstrator on my team of STARS!  She made it for our team swap and I liked it so much that I decided to use the design for the swap I mailed off this morning.  Lots of work but I love the background variation that the use of Brusho Crystal Colour creates!  The stamp set, Lilypad Lake, and the Lakeside Framelit dies are bundled ~ you can find them on page 133 in the catalog.

Graceful Glass Suite

The Graceful Glass Suite is such a wonderful addition to our catalog.  It gives you the tools to create some beautiful stained glass projects.  The vellum is probably one of my favorite new papers this year.  There are so many options on how to use it.

Color plays a key role in this suite.  You can use any of our coloring tools,  just choose the look you want to achieve for the final project.

This video is inspirational ~ Brian does such a good job of explaining all the products in the suite.  You'll want to start using it right away ~ I know I did!  If you have it already play around with it and experiment with the different ways you can create with these products.  I would love to see what you create ~ send me a picture!  If you don't have it yet, all the items can be purchased separately (or in the Painted Glass bundle on page 165) in my online store.
Happy Stampining, Susan Elise
