Busy Boy
October 29, 2018
Landon took over the Cat/Art Studio on Saturday and I think the biggest attraction was the BIG SHOT. He had to cut loads of circles and squares. He asked about triangles but I came up short ~ no triangle dies??? His second love was punches and his favorite was the butterfly punches to make a card for his 'Gramma'. It was a fun afternoon!

Laurie's Inspiration...
October 21, 2018
My friend, Laurie Holtan, (who many of you know through stamp club) lives in Maryland and she sent me beautiful pictures that she took of Monarch Butterflies on her butterfly bushes. The first one she sent was this one of a tagged Monarch on her butterfly bush. She read the tag and sent the reporting form to Monarch Watch. They can track its path from where it was tagged to places along their migration route to Mexico!
Laurie said that the Monarchs were in her yard for at least a week but that they are all gone now because of the chilly weather. Here are some more of her fabulous photographs....
And, then a sad note ~ who knew that a Praying Mantis would eat a butterfly? I thought it was a beneficial insect that ate larger insects ~ beetles, grasshoppers and crickets. Another picture from Laurie ~
She said she found butterfly wings on the ground under her butterfly bush ~ now, we know why. Laurie ~ THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE LOVELY PICTURES!!! And, the insect lesson.

Rooted in Nature 2
October 19, 2018
Did you enjoy the ROOTED IN NATURE VIDEO I posted yesterday? I think it is one of the best ones that Stampin' Up! has done ~ very professional with lots of ideas! The embossing dies were particularly interesting, don't you think? You can find the Nature's Poem Suite on pages 142, 143 and 144 in the annual catalog. Share with me what you have created ~ I would love to use your ideas so be my GUEST ARTIST! Here are some more samples of cards using this bundle.
