Exploring Santorini Port of Call

Our ship, Jewel of the Seas, anchored off the coast of Santorini, a southern island of Greece.  A smaller boat took about 15 minutes to ride to the shore where we were able to take a cable car to the top or take another boat to another part of the island, the village of Oia.  There are steps ~ 587 of them to the top of Thira ~ they are made of cobblestone, smooth and slippery.  Alan and I choose the boat which, dropped us at the bottom of a very high 'cliff' and, after a very steep climb,  we met a bus to take us into the tiny town of Oia.  From there we went to Thira, a larger village about a half hour away.  All beautiful.
