Birds of a Feather

Birds of a Feather
Birds of a Feather stamp set, page 50, Holiday Catalog

This is one of the cards we made in my CHRISTMAS CARD CLASS on Saturday morning.  The set covers all the upcoming holidays ~ Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and even Valentine's Day!  We used SNOWFALL ACCENTS PUFF PAINT (page 19, Holiday Catalog) on the little bird's hat, can you see it?  It is a little tricky ~ more runny than I had anticipated so use it sparingly ~ and, heat it quickly with your heat gun.  More info below in the video from Stampin' Up!  The Project Sheet for this cute card is below.  Enjoy!

ANIMAL OUTING ~ GUEST ARTIST

Susan Tran sent me this picture yesterday afternoon.  She said that it was too hot to work outside so she created these cards with her favorite stamp set ~ Animal Outing.  You can find it on page 102 in the annual catalog.  Her cards are so much fun ~ I couldn't wait to share!!!!  Thanks, Susan ~ they're FABULOUS!

PURPLE POSY

This is one of the 2019-2021 IN-COLORS introduced in Stampin' Up!'s ANNUAL CATALOG this year AND IT HAS BEEN MISSING UNTIL NOW!  Seems there has been a problem with the accuracy of the color and the SU staff responsible would not release it until the problem was corrected.  The CLASSIC STAMPIN' PAD (150084) and the CLASSIC STAMPIN' INK REFILL (150091) are both available to order.

Birthday Cards continued...

Thank you to everyone who sent, or brought, me cards.  I appreciate your birthday wishes so much.  The ones I have highlighted in these two posts used current (or retired)  Stampin' Up! products and I thought you would love the ideas for creating your own birthday cards!

Happy Fall & Pumpkin Papercrafting!

I made favors for my stamping friends last weekend ~ cute little pumpkin boxes using the dies from the TINY KEEPSAKES BUNDLE on page 21 in the Holiday Catalog.  The die makes wonderful little treat boxes big enough for several little pieces of candy and it all folds together ~ no adhesive needed!!!  The pumpkin face is from the stamp set HARVEST HELLOS ~ check the PROJECT SHEET tomorrow for more on that cute set!

Lynne Henderson's Project Kit

Lynne is an enthusiastic Stampin' Up! demonstrator on my team.  She stopped by one afternoon this week to show me the Project Kit that she had been working on.  It is the Advent Calendar Project Kit on page 38 in the Holiday Catalog.  Here's Lynne's finished kit and a video from Stampin' Up! showing you the parts of the project and how easily it goes together.

3D Embossing Folder Plate

There is a product available but not in the annual or the holiday catalog.  It is a product that is designed to make embossing a little easier as Stampin' Up! goes through the change from the BIG SHOT to the replacement embossing and die-cutting machine.  I do not have any new news about the replacement machine but recently the flyer, below, and the product have been made available.  Sorry it's a little creased ~ I have been using it all month in my stamp club classes.

3D embossing folder plateThe plate is designed to work with the new-style 3D folders which are thinner than the previous folders labeled 3D.  You can see the current 3D embossing folders on page 199 in Stampin' Up!'s annual catalog.  And, the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder on page 31 in the Holiday Catalog.  You will not need to add shims as we have in the past and you will only need ONE plate.  The new blue 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER PLATE, # 149658, is $10 and it will make your life easier!  Let me know if you have questions.
