STARS (my Stanmpin' Up! team) CARDS

I hold a monthly meeting for the lovely ladies on my Stampin' Up! demonstrator' team!  We meet on the second Saturday afternoon of each month to learn from each other, swap ideas, have refreshments and fun and swap cards.  We all make twelve of one card to share with all those who attend.  There is a theme for each of the swaps and the theme for this month was Sympathy cards.  Even though we met weeks ago I never posted the swap cards ~ beautiful creations that we use for ideas and inspiration.  So here are the March Team Swap Cards ~

Inspiration from Melissa.........

Melissa emailed me this picture this afternoon ~ she has had a busy weekend so far!  I love these cards, actually, I LOVE this entire suite ~ PEACEFUL POPPIES.  You can find it on page 25 of Stampin' Up!'s SPRING MINI catalog.  (If you don't have one just let me know & I will put it in the mail to you!)   Melissa's comment ~

Two sheets 18 cards. 9 cards from a sheet using the scraps. (2 cards are missing cuz I already mailed them šŸ˜)

Laser Cut vs Fussy Cut!

One of the reasons that there are so many beautiful dies in Stampin' Up's product line is to eliminate the need to fussy cut.  Fussy cut?  Yes, you know ~ cutting carefully all the details of an image with sharp little scissors or SNIPS.  I understand that some of you are actually allergic  to fussy cutting.  Therefore, dies.  And, laser-cut paper.  We do have 12" x 12" Shimmer Detailed Laser-cut Paper on page 169 and featured on this blog on March 9 and 10 by MELISSA BURROUGH'S  CARDS

So what other possibilities are there for having some fabulous cards to send without taking the time and effort to fussy cut?  On page 91 in the catalog you will find a tin of cards that includes 12 laser-cut cards and 12 envelopes ~ Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin.  The tin itself is very pretty and the cards are basic with beautiful laser designs ~ we would never go to that extent for great cards ~ Stampin' Up! has made it easy!

Roccoco Rose card in the tinI added a piece of cardstock inside the basic laser cut card from the tin.  The cardstock is Roccoco Rose from the 2019-2021 In Color Collection.  It is cut 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and fits exactly inside the card.  I glued the laser cut design to the cardstock using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen on page 183 in the catalog.  I used the Silicone Craft Sheet (on the same page) under the card to prevent glue from sticking where it wasn't wanted!  The small embellishment in the center is from the In Color Faceted Dots package.  The tin with the cards & envelopes is $18 for 12 cards and the tin!  Ummmm!  And, this makes a great (and easy) gift!  Click on the product pictures below for more information or to order!  I will also be placing my last Sale-A-Bration Order on Tuesday ~ the last day of this once-a-year promotion ~ let me know if I can add your order. EMAIL ME!

STAMPIN' SHARES CONTINUE....

Two shares today.  The first share is a lovely card created by Rusty Bedard.  This is Rusty ~ with Tripod a couple of weeks ago in the Cat/Art Studio.  Love this picture!

And, this is Rusty's card that she created this week and emailed to me.   She used the Peaceful Poppies Suite on page 24 in Stampin' Up!'s Spring Mini catalog.  I think it is the most colorful Suite that has been introduced with one of the predominate colors being, of course, Poppy Parade!  Thank you for sharing, Rusty!

The second share is a wonderful rendition of the song Over The Rainbow sung by a school choir who had to cancel their performance but found a way to perform beautifully.  It was shared by Patty Pauley.  Thanks so much Patty!  Enjoy & have a lovely Friday!

PRINT OUT FLYER HERE!

The fabulous Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper is available in this THIRD RELEASE!  Remember the post about the paper and the beautiful cards that Melissa Burroughs created.  I posted her paper and her cards on March 9 and 10 ~ you can easily find the posts and create your own.  She even did a PROJECT SHEET for us!  Love it!!!  Thanks again, Melissa!

Creations from Friends.......sharing inspiration.........

As we continue to be homebound it is always good to spend a little (or, a lot of) time being creative ~ it soothes nerves and makes the time go by a little more quickly.  My friend, Dorothea Aull who goes by Dory, sent me a card yesterday.  The base card was one we used in our stamp clubs this month but Dory was unable to come so I forwarded her the base card and she changed it up a bit.  The designer series paper is FLOWERING FOILS in the second release of SAB products ~ so pretty!  (Third release available soon!)  Thanks, Dory!

Dory's card 1My two additional cards were sent to me yesterday by my friend, Diane Voskuhl.  Diane is an avid card maker who donates her cards to significant causes supporting the military.  The first card that she sent me is using vellum.  She embossed the design with white embossing powder and colored the back side of the vellum with markers.  She adhered the vellum to cardstock and fussy cut.  She recommends a video by Jennifer Macquire.  Diane's second card uses scraps from her 'collection'!  Nice!

Diane Voskuhl 1 Diane Voskuhl 2Thanks Ladies!  If you would like to send me your homebound creations I will be happy to let you inspire others on my blog!  Just email me!  Happy Wednesday!

Tuesday Project Sheet ~ Well Dressed!

Happy Tuesday!  Happy Masculine Card today!  We really need to have more stamp sets celebrating the men in our lives, don't we?  This is a great idea/layout for this Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Well Dressed, and it uses a saying from the Outdoor Barbecue stamp set (page 50 in the Spring Mini).  And, I love the colors ~ Blueberry Bushel and Pineapple Punch!  Did you remember that these two are part of the 2018-2020 IN-COLORS and will be retiring on June 2 ~ or, sooner, because they will only be available while supplies last!  Check these five colors out on page 164 in Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalog and let me know if you would like to order/resupply.  As I am sure you have heard me say a million times ~ if you have the stamp pad, be SURE that you have the little ink refill bottle!!!  Have a healthy day!

I used the Designer Series Paper from the COUNTRY CLUB SUITE on page 46 & 47 in the Spring Mini for this card.  The paper is all about golf but flip it over for some great designs for your masculine cards.  The colors in the paper are Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry, Garden Green and Night of Navy.  The suite also includes  four spools of colored twine in all the colors above except the Crushed Curry.  Enjoy your Monday!
