Covid 19 Giveback by Stampin' Up!

4.21.20_SOCIAL_GIVEBACK_NA

If you haven't taken time to click on the link that I added to the bottom of my post yesterday you will want to do that to see all of the clever sayings that you can download for just $12.  There are 15 pages of sayings printed in black and white and color plus two pages of 'instructions' which include Coordinating Colors & Products by page number.  I printed them off on Whisper White cardstock.  Unfortunately, when I printed them off, I forgot that my printer was set to print on the front and back of each page.  But it turned out all right  because I could easily pick & choose which side I liked the best.  Here are some of my cards ~ close up ~  I have been trying to add my pictures all day today (it is now almost 6 PM on Thursday afternoon) but typepad is having some problems and I can't add any of my pictures.  So sorry ~ you will love my pictures when I can add them ~ I'll keep trying!  Maybe tomorrow.

Display of cards

Stampin’ Up! is committed to making a difference in our global communities and caring about people first. As part of our Making a Difference program we’re offering a product giveback opportunity to support organizations that are helping COVID-19 frontline responders and communities vulnerable to the pandemic.

You can purchase the Share Sunshine PDF Download and we will donate 100% of the proceeds to COVID-19 efforts.

The Share Sunshine PDF Download is a digital stamp set that’s packed with both lighthearted and heartfelt sentiments and imagery relevant to the unique COVID-19 and social distancing situation we’re currently experiencing–including many ideas that came from demonstrators and their customers! You can use the download in your cardmaking and papercrafting projects. Simply print the imagery on cardstock and cut it out using our Paper Trimmer, punches, or dies. Since we are physically distanced from each other, now is a perfect time to share sunshine with friends and family by sending cards!

Stampin' Up! Cards: Kelly & Melissa

Cards received over the weekend from my stamping friends ~ Kelly and Melissa.  Thanks so much, ladies.  You have been busy bees that's for sure!  Kelly used the stamp set SPECIAL SOMEONE  (not retiring) to create her cute cards in the first picture.  You can find that stamp set on page 36 in the Spring catty.  She created the other cards using the HONEY BEE BUNDLE on page 30 in the Spring catty.  (The stamp set and the dies are retiring ~ so sad!) Melissa sent me the fourth picture yesterday ~ 20 cards using the designer series paper that was available during Sale-A-Bration!  So pretty!  You two are inspirations to the rest of us!

Comments & pictures from Kelly:  Yay! I am so glad we will be back in business in May as well, I miss you guys too!  But I have actually been motivated & making cards!  Here a couple of pics if you are bored and want something to look at.

Kelly's cute animal cards

I made my boss 19 of those animal themed thank you cards. She loves them!

Kelly's Bumble bee birthday

I’m loving my bumble bees so I made 2 of those birthday cards (copied from Pinterest of course) and then I made 3 sets of those 6 water colored bumble bee cards and I loved them so much I gave them all away so I am actually in the process of making 3 more sets of 8 different colors. I copied that one from I think a Stampin Up demonstrator, I found a picture of those somewhere on the internet and loved that card. It’s fun to make and somewhat easy so just lots of steps. J

Kelly's Bumble bee watercolor

Miss you guys!  My vacation was rescheduled of course but my quarantine has been anything but boring. My car was victim to a hit & run sitting in front of my house and then my neighbors across the street – the man killed his wife and then killed himself after a 5 hour swat team standoff.  L  She ran from the house after being shot & died in my flowerbed and left behind 2 kids – 16 & 23.  Our house was a crime scene!

So yeah, there’s that! J  Back to these bumble bees!  Kelly

Stampin' Up! Inspiration!

This card has got to be the ultimate in FUSSY CUTTING ~ I found it online and had to show you!  The stamp set is  VERY VERSAILLES (#149275 AC) on page 113.  The set itself is lovely (and it is NOT retiring ~ thank you Stampin' Up! )  I love the set but I feel like anything I could create after looking at this card would be so unsatisfactory, ever feel that way?  But, we shouldn't!  After all that's why we have an ARTISAN TEAM ~ for INSPIRATION!

Artisan fussy cut card!"These leaves from Very Versailles are made for fussy cutting and marker direct to stamp image technique. I’ve used a combo of Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler & Mossy Meadow to get this dark rust colour."  Narelle Farrugia, Stampin' Up! Artisan Team

JK is going to be WILDLY HAPPY

Yesterday afternoon I finally had time to sit down and go through my catalogs and mark those stamp sets and other products that are retiring.  That is the only way that I can keep track of what is leaving and what is staying.  Also, it gave me a chance to 'grade' the submissions to my RETIREMENT CONTEST and see who won herself a NEW STAMP SET.  It turned out that there was only one submission that had a 'perfect' paper.  (Don't I sound like a teacher ~ which of course I was ~ first grade, second grade & special ed.)  JK ~ Janie Knarr ~ YOU ARE THE WINNER.  Congratulations on your perfect paper!  Janie wins the LITTLE LADYBUG stamp set ~ unless she has it and then we'll choose another!  So are you WILDLY HAPPY?

Stamp setThis stamp set is from the annual catalog and is not retiring.  You can find it on page 101.  Here are some sample cards using this cute set ~

Bunny CardSuch a nice 'new baby' card.  The Button embossing folder is retiring.

Elephant

Todays Fox cardThis one uses the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper from the Spring Mini Catalog (page 33) ~ all the DSP that we have now will be retiring.  There are a couple of things that I am sorry to see leaving!  One is the THANKS FOR THE LAUGHS stamp set on page 11 in the Spring Catalog ~ I love using the sayings.  For instance 'How did I get so lucky to have a friend like you?' and 'Talking to you is sometimes all the therapy I need."  And, on page 181 in the annual catalog ~ Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, the Embossing Buddy and Copper Embossing Powder ~ we can live wo those???  And, two embossing folders that I am going to miss ~ Woodland and Tufted!  What's on your list?

HANDMADE CARD RECIPES

It's amazing what a little time at home will do ~ and, more time in front of the computer, particularly on the Stampin' Up! website (which is an amazing resource but one I don't use often enough ~ obviously!).  You are going to love this resource that I found yesterday ~ SAMPLE RECIPES for our current Spring Mini catty.  Ever wonder exactly what Stampin' Up! products were used to create one, or more, of the samples in the catalog?  Click on the link below to get all the answers from the creative staff that puts it all together.  Print it out and find the samples by the page number in the catty ~ it's like having a personal tutorial.  Questions?  Let me know so I can find an answer for you.  Also, I am putting in an order today, let me know if I can add anything for you.

Bigger is Better

There has been a little problem with the LISTS that I sent out this morning ~ literally and unfortunately!  Stampin' Up! created these lists using a very very small font size and they are really hard to read.  An online friend of mine, Tanya, enlarged the font size and made the lists available to other demonstrators.  They are much easier to read so print them off here and enjoy!  Happy Thursday!

Pressed Petals Suite ~ so timely........

SU Tuesday PictureThis unique suite of products is in Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalog, you can find it on page  73.  I thought of it today because of a gift I received in the mail from a friend ~

Book from JenniferThe book is from my friend, Jennifer.  The message on the inside flap says "Fuel yourself & others with positive energy ~ inspirational quotes and encouraging messages to live by from bestselling author, Jon Gordon."

This made me think of a journal that I made with stamping friends with some of the products from the suite above.  The Pressed Petals Journal (#149588, $6.50) is part of this suite.  So, using the designer series paper and the Washi Tape we created this journal ~

My JournalThe pages on the inside are lined and decorated ~ ready for positive words and your own encouraging messages ~ for yourself or a friend.  I think this makes a great handmade gift.  One that is an easy craft project with a mission during this stay-at-home and stay-away-from-friends time.  I have been using a GRATITUDE JOURNAL (again, from a friend) since the middle of February.  I take advantage of a little quiet time each night to add my thoughts and it has been a very positive experience for me.  I have shared it with my family and if you are interested you can find it on Amazon.  I did add the rose ~ it was a stamp from February's Paper Pumpkin!  Let me know if you have questions and have a good day.  (Oh, if you are entering the RETIRING STAMP SET CONTEST ~ it ends at 6 PM TODAY!!!!  Send me your LIST!)

Project Sheet Tuesday

This card is sooooo cute and I know exactly who I am going to send it to ~ my Aunt Marge ~ Marjorie Claire ~ in Green Bay!  She will love it!  This is from the BEST DRESSED SUITE (#153926) on page 54 in the Spring Mini catty.  The suite includes the Bundle, Mint Macaron Ribbon, Best Dressed Note Cards & Envelopes (everyone should buy this little package, $8.00 for 24 note cards!), tassels and a terrific package of 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper in very bright and pretty colors!  It was not my favorite suite but it has grown on me and now I just want to make loads of pretty cards and send them to friends.  This one would brighten anyone's day ~ JUST WHAT WE NEED!
