Janie's card......BOTANICAL TAGS

Isn't this a pretty card?  So soft and gentle.  Janie Dodge created it and emailed it to me a couple of days ago.  She used the BOTANICAL TAGS dies on page 191 in the annual catalog.  The dies are retiring and she said that she got them on the CLEARANCE RACK.  The card is a NOTECARD  ~ page 168 in Whisper White and Very Vanilla ~ Janie is the QUEEN OF NOTECARDS.  I think she buys a new package every time she comes to Stamp Club ~ she LOVES writing SHORT notes!  Thanks for sharing, Janie!  Lovely!

 

Cow's it going?

It's retiring.  This cute stamp set, OVER THE MOON, has been loads of fun to use and if you have it I know you will want to keep it in your collection.  The cows are retiring in a few days so I thought I would share some samples with you for some Saturday fun.  Enjoy!

Take Your Pick

Some of Stampin' Up!'s dies are intricate making it difficult to get all the tiny pieces of cardstock out after the image is cut.  I was using the die in the picture (from the ORNATE STYLE BUNDLE) last night and thought it would be a good time to mention the TAKE YOUR PICK DIE BRUSH TIP.  The brush is used to get the little tiny pieces of cardstock out of the design once you have run the die through the embossing and cutting machine (formerly known as the Big Shot).  My brush in the picture is one of the first that came out and not the current model.  The brush now is one that you insert into the TAKE YOUR PICK tool.  You can find it on page 189 in the annual catalog.  I recommend it to you ~ this tool saves loads of time (and lots of frustration!)...........HAPPY FRIDAY!

 

Beautiful You

Thank you, Marion ~ I LOVE this card.  Marion is a dear friend and a demonstrator on my team.  She sent me this card a couple of days ago ~ with a nice note.  She definitely made my day ~ it's amazing what a card can do!  The stamp set, BEAUTIFUL YOU (page 114 in the annual catalog) is RETIRING.  Oh no!  I will definitely miss this set.  I like the images but I LOVE the sayings!  Two examples ~

"LIVE with passion.  LAUGH out loud.  LOVE deeply."

"LIFE may not be the party we had hoped for but while we're here we might as well DANCE."

Marion used the WOVEN THREADS DSP (page 165 AC) and the SEASIDE SPRAY Scalloped Linen Ribbon.  The Designer Series Paper is retiring but the ribbon is staying!  Yea!  Don't you love the pretty dress that matches the designer series paper ~ great fussy cutting job!  If you like this set, and don't have it in your collection, you may want to make an online order TODAY!

We remember....

The 2020-21 Annual Catalog has arrived in Virginia...

GARDEN LANE DSP ~ last year's favorite greens..........

I have been looking through the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog to see what I am going to miss the most, have you ever done that?  It's like saying goodbye to good friends.  I came across my favorite green Designer Series Paper from the catty ~ Garden Lane DSP on page 165 (not quite as fabulous as the soon to arrive new catty fav green).

Of course, ALL of the designer series paper will be LEAVING ~ Magnolia Lane, Dinoroar, See a Silhouette, Noble Peacock Specialty and the wonderful Noble Peacock Foil!  You can still order but they may not be available.  This DSP ~ Garden Lane ~ is fabulous as are the directions for the PULL OUT PANEL CARD ~  I am sure you will want to try this one ~

Both of these stamp sets ~ Stitched All Around (page 43 AC) and Label Me Pretty (page 19 AC) are retiring.  In addition, the Stitched Labels Dies (page 195 AC) are retiring.  But, I know you wonderful crafty ladies could easily make this card with substitutions so ENJOY.

Twisted Gate Fold Technique

This is the package that I sent to Alan's Mom, Eloise, for Mother's Day recently.  She wrote me a really nice Thank You Note and said "the card was outstanding and that she had showed them around because they were very unusual".  Don't we all love to receive comments like that when we create and share?

This is an unusual card (the little gift box is just covered in the same designer series paper) and I found it online.  The demonstrator who created it shared the project sheet for it which is always so nice (but, I forgot to save her name so that I could give her credit ~ so sorry).  I found it difficult to follow her directions but rewrote them and shared the technique with my stamp clubs this month.  And, with you ~ below.  Let me know if you have questions.
