Wishing You Sunshine & Happiness

My Spring Mini Catalog is looking very 'loved', don't you think?  It's almost time for the new but not before we say goodbye to some great stamps ~ for instance the cute bees in the HONEY BEE BUNDLE on page 30 in the spring catty.  The title of this post is just one of the sayings in this set ~ one that we could use over and over at this time in our lives!  We all need to have this in our collection!

Many of the Last Chance Products are sold out and the stamp sets are now on the endangered list beginning today.  Endangered List?  Yes, I was reminded today by my fellow stamper and good friend, Patty Pauley, who forwarded me the following from Stampin' Up!  (Thanks, Patty!)

Last ChanceIt clearly says that the stamp sets are available through May 22 (that's TODAY).  It means that Stampin' Up! does not guarantee to have sets available after today ~ they will not be continuing to produce the sets after today.  So, if the HONEY BEE stamp set is on your list I would move it to the top and order it online (so easy to do ~ if you have a problem please let me know!).  Here are some samples ~

And, the last lovely card was given to me at one of my stamp clubs a week ago!. Kelly Fidler made the card and brought one for everyone in the stamp club.  She said that she found the design on Pinterest and cased it ~ she did a fabulous job and made lots of them!  Thanks so much, Kelly ~ love the card!!!

CASEing...............

Inspiration Everywhere ~ from Stampin' Up!

At first glance, you might not know these cards were CASEd (Copy And Share Everything). That’s the beauty of CASEing, no one will ever guess that your project was inspired by another project. We give you permission to grab a catalog, pick a project that catches your attention, and CASE it.

Here’s how it works—you choose one aspect of your chosen inspiration piece and copy it on a new project. We selected the Thank You card from page 65 of the January–June 2020 Mini Catalog as the inspiration piece. Then, we used these CASEing techniques to create three new projects.

  • Copy the color scheme. The Grateful to Be Your Friend card uses the same pink, red, and gray color scheme. Did you know that pairing pink and red is a huge fashion trend this year? Try using it on your next project.
  • Copy the technique. The stunning blue ombre background on the Thank You box mimics the Thank You card, but in a different color, on a different project type, and with a different level of intensity. What will you ombre?
  • Copy the layout. One of the most used CASEing techniques is re-creating the layout. The Butterfly card uses layered die cuts just like the inspiration card, but with a completely different end result. How will you use the layered die cuts layout?

Tuesday Project Sheet ~ going to the dogs.........

This Project Sheet combines two Stampin' Up! products that are not retiring (and, I know you are glad!) ~ the HEARTFELT stamp set (#152417) from the Spring mini catty and the DOG BUILDER PUNCH (#148543).  So many of us have pets that we would easily put in the best friend category and this card is purrrrfect!  And, a shout out to two of my best friends ~ Barbara Raliski and Agnes Leach ~ both of these ladies have dogs that are therapy dogs.  These dogs do so much to spread good cheer and happiness as they comfort people in lots of different situations.  Extra treats for therapy dogs!

News from Stampin' Up!

STAMPIN’ PIERCE MAT

Due to its usability for a variety of papercrafting techniques, including as a work surface to get even ink pressure and coverage with background stamps, we have decided to continue offering the Stampin’ Pierce Mat (126199) as an annual catalog item and remove it from the retired list. We will add this item as a catalog write-in under catalog corrections and update the catalog PDF to include it (for those referencing the downloadable file). Please note that the item number for this product is currently shut off. We will post a Weekly Update as soon as we replenish our inventory and the item is once again available to order.

Thursday, May 21, Day of Service @ Stampin' Up!

This coming Thursday is Stampin' Up!'s DAY OF SERVICE.  At 4 PM, our time, they will include demonstrators and customers in the event which supports those individuals effected by COVID19 and those working in the medical field.  They will be making cards to share using the sharesunshinepdf that you can download, below.  You may have seen some of the really fun CARDS that I have created and have been sending to friends and family recently.  The money raised from the PDF ($12) is all donated to two organizations working on this cause.

If you would like to join me in the Cat/Art Studio to make some cards from 2 - 4 on Thursday please let me know so that I will have cardstock and designer series paper ready for you.  We will be using the fun PDF to make quick cards ~ EMAIL ME!

Update with Sara at Stampin' Up!

Sara, Stampin' Up! CEO, took some time recently to share with demonstrators worldwide and I thought it would be of interest to all of us.  Please let me know if you have questions or if I can help you with 'creative therapy' during this time.  Susan Elise

Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Bumble Bee, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight

Stampin' Up!'s 2020-2022 In Color Collection includes cardstock, stamp pads, ink refills and blend markers.  Also, 6" x 6" designer series paper, Memories & More Cards & Envelopes, Enamel Dots and 1/4" ribbons.  All in these pretty colors below.  I will start my IN-COLOR CLUBS in June.  An in-color club?  Yes, a great way to buy all of the coordinated products over a five month period ~ you can have it all and not have to pay for it all at one time.  Five stampers in a club and the first one is ready to go with ~ Melissa, Barb, Katy, Kelly and Lynne G.!  Let me know if you are interested in these great colors!

My friend, Lynne H., and I stamped together this morning using the beautiful flower from the stamp set, BAND TOGETHER, page 121 AC, #149231.  We embossed the large flower on each of the card colors.  We used White Emboss Powder, page 181 AC, #109132 on all of the cards except the Bumble BEE color (white didn't show up very well) where we used Copper Emboss Powder #109130.

The stamp set, Band Together, is bundled with a set of dies, Detailed Bands Dies, on page 192 AC.  They both carry over to the 2020-2021 Catalog but they are not bundled (ordering them before June 2 saves you 10%).  Happy Friday!

Stampin' Up's FOREVER GREENERY

This is the suite that I couldn't resist ordering when the 'doors opened' and demonstrators were 'allowed' to place their first order.  I fell in love with the color combinations ~ and, I am not usually a green girl!  But the combinations are amazing ~ Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Just Jade (I showed you that beautiful new in-color yesterday), Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Soft Sea Foam.  I took a picture, below, of the cardstock and the stamp pads with one of the designer series paper designs so that you could see the combinations.  FOREVER GREENERY is a suite with a stamp set ~ Forever Fern, Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper, Forever Greenery DSP, Greenery Embossing Folders, Gold Hoops and Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.  I think you'll love it!  Leave me a comment and I will send you a sample of the DSP (US only ~ thanks!).
