Bow Pants to the rescue...............

Some of my stamping friends seem to have a problem tying bows to add to their projects.  I have been using a simple little tool for years (so long ago that I can't remember when it started or where it came from) ~ BOW PANTS.  The name of the tool is easy to remember because it looks like a pair of pants and it makes bows!  I make mine from the lightweight cardboard in the back of the package of Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper.  I make mine using an old punch some of you will remember ~ Word Window ~ but the CLASSIC LABEL PUNCH (on page 166 AC) will work just as well!  You can see the different sizes of bows (and, how much ribbon you will need) below the video.  This card will show you the finished bow made with Bow Pants!

Stampin' Up! & planning ahead....

Do you believe it is time to think about card planning for Christmas?  I would refuse to believe it but on a dark and rainy day like today it makes it seem possible, don't you think?  The picture below, supplied by Stampin' Up!, makes it even more clear that I had better get my September, October and November classes scheduled.  I am wondering if some of you will have a problem with getting together.  I promise that I do everything possible to sanitize the studio but I know that is not always enough.  I am addicted to having you wonderful people crafting in person but I know that can't always work for everyone.  So, I will be having holiday card classes in the studio and by mail.  I am doing some planning and will let you know the results soon.  In the meantime, enjoy that Mini Catalog and dreaming about what YOUR card will look like!

THE MACHINE

UNBOXING 2So excited!  But, the handle is not attached (Alan wasn't home) so I haven't used it yet.  I do love the way it works ~ the way it closes to use a much smaller space and the weight ~ it didn't move once I put it on the counter.  I'll get that handle on and use it so ~ more coming!

Flight of Fancy & Angel Food....A Double Treat!

Double treat today ~ a card I created last week using the FLIGHT OF FANCY stamp set from the Mini Catalog and a not-so-fancy-but-delicious recipe!  The little angel on the card is one of three adorable angels in the stamp set that we can use for Halloween, Winter and even Valentine's Day.  I will have a Project Sheet for this card (but, it isn't complete yet).  The recipe for Pineapple Angel Food Cake, below, is one my sister, Sarah, told me about and I made it last weekend.  I wanted to pass it on to you because it is delicious and EASY!!!!  TWO INGREDIENTS!  Do you believe it???  Do try it ~ YUMMMMY!!
