New Year's Eve

Alan and I just made a dish for a New Year's get-together and I thought you might like the recipe that a friend at Central Fidelity Bank gave me years ago ~ thanks Bonnie!

                    TACO SALAD DIP

2 cans bean dip, spread evenly over the bottom of your dish

1 onion, finely chopped

Mix together ~ 1 package taco seasoning mix, 1 cup mayo and 1 cup sour cream ~ we do this the day before so that the flavors have time to blend

1 head lettuce, chopped and drained a little if it is too wet

1 large tomato, chopped with the seeds & pulp removed

1 8 oz. package cheddar cheese, shredded

Layer in order, above, in a 8" x 13" pan and serve with taco chips.  Enjoy!

A most Happy New Year to you and to those you love ~ we deserve it after 2020!  Agree?

Paper Pumpkin is beary comforting this month.  If you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber you have the December kit and may have already assembled your cards ~ I am saving mine for after Christmas.  The video below show you exactly how beary cute these cards are ~ enjoy!

Missed the December Paper Pumpkin Kit ~ you can sign up for the January Kit ~ LOVE IS IN THE AIR ~ below ~ sorry about the crazy spacing, I can't seem to change it!

Project Sheet Tuesday

Love this card and love this technique!  I belong to a card making co-op which is a wonderful group of talented stampers.  Once a month we submit our personal card to the co-op and that enables all of us to have access to all of the other cards submitted by members.  I feel so fortunate to be part of this group and to be able to share with you on PROJECT SHEET TUESDAY!  When I first looked at this card I thought that Stampin' Up! had printed some new designer series paper but no!  This lovely background is created with strips of three of our beautiful cardstock ~ so clever!  And, you can find the stamp set on page 103 in the Annual Catalog.  Try the technique and send me a picture of your creation ~ I would love to add it to my blog!  Susan Elise/The Cat/Art Studio

Coming soon..........

SALE - A - BRATION begins very soon ~ January 5 to be exact.  The information below is for demonstrators from the Demonstrator website.  We can order early from the new Mini Catalog and earn Sale-a-bration products at the same time.  I thought you might like to see some of the products in the picture.  Even though you just get a tiny peak you can see some of the really pretty designer series paper in the brochure.  That's what I have been concentrating on all weekend ~ a SAB swap so I have samples and ideas for you!  I'll post my card as soon as I can clean up my stamping mess!!!  By the way, anyone need GIFT CERTIFICATES for a friend?  I promise to make them special for you!!!

Posted for You ~ a sweet bundle..........

POSTED FOR YOU BUNDLE on page 81 in Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalog makes lovely all occasion cards for you to send or to give.  It is even a possibility for upcoming celebrations like Valentine's Day.  I know ~ none of us can think past Friday of the upcoming week ~ are you still feeling 'behind' ~ I am!!!!

Stampin' Up!'s Joyful Holly Gift Bag

This stamp set, Joyful Holly, is on page 34 in Stampin' Up!'s Mini Catalog.  It is not on the CARRY-0VER LIST so it will be retiring soon ~ January 4 to be exact.  I used it on this little GIFT BAG that we have been making in STAMP CLUB this month.  I used a 12' x 12' piece of Designer Series Paper to create a two-pocket gift bag.  The little box of 3" x 3" matching cards are in a acetate card box (#150428 on page 152 in the Annual Catalog) and fit perfectly inside the Gift Bag.  If you would like to have tips and tricks for some fun projects think about joining a Stamp Club.  I have an opening and would love to have you join us!

Project Sheet Tuesday

My friend, Boo (short for Elizabeth) fell in love with this stamp set at our stamp club get together last weekend and just had to order it!  Ever happen to you?  Ever happen to me?  Definitely!  (Actually, more often than I care to admit!)  The stamp set is SNOW WONDER and you can find it on page 39 in the Mini Catalog.  Love the colors!  One other thought ~ what if all that rain yesterday had been snow????  Just a few degrees lower and we might have had a winter wonderland or a Snow Wonder!!!
