The FINE ART FLORAL Suite in the Mini Catalog is one of my favorites! You can find it on pages 32 ~ 34. The suite is a collection of everything you would ever need to make FABULOUS projects (#155982, $102.25). However, you can pick and choose among the products & the BUNDLE (stamp set & dies, #156227, $50.25) is reasonable. The card below is an Accordion Lock Fold Card that we made in stamp clubs this month (the butterfly is the 'lock'!). The DSP (#154558, $11.50) is FABULOUS & makes this card, don't you think? If you would like a project sheet, email me! Happy Friday! I am looking forward to my Blending Brush 101 class this evening at 6 PM. There are so many great techniques with the brushes!
You can find the DANDY GARDEN SUITE on page 24 in Stampin' Up!'s Mini Catalog. The suite includes the stamp set, DRAGONFLY GARDEN, that I used on the cards below. This stamp set is also bundled (#156224, $36.75) with the Dragonflies Punch and saves you 10%! We made this card in our stamp clubs this month so I have a PROJECT SHEET and would be happy to share ~ just email me and let me know that you would like a copy of this fun fold card!
Stampin' Up! is offering a very special deal starting May 4 and running through the end of the month. You can find this SIMPLY SUCCULENTS BUNDLE on page 39 in the January ~ June Mini Catalog. I don't have any succulents at the present time so the bundle didn't immediately catch my eye. I have grown Aloe vera which is typically used to treat burns but that was a while back. So, what caught my attention is the set of dies. Particularly the die that fancy cuts a piece of cardstock that is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"! It makes a stunning background and can even create a stencil that you could use with your blending brushes! Also, it is amazing the difference the new cutting and embossing machine makes! Do you remember (I am sure you do!) going back & forth, back & forth with the old machine? Now you can pass an intricate die through once and the little pieces fall out! What a change!
Yesterday I showed you my studio 'bulletin board' with the pictures of six of the twelve techniques for my Blending Brushes 101 Class. Below is a similar picture showing the second six of the twelve techniques that I teach in my Blending Brushes 102 Class. The Class will be on Saturday, May 15, at 1 PM in the Cat/Art Studio. EMAIL ME TO SIGN UP NOW.
I also mentioned that I have a Blending Brushes PDF. If you are unable to take a class this might be of help to you as you begin to use these fabulous brushes. I send it to everyone who does take the class and ask that they read it in advance of coming to class. I think it is very helpful. Let me know if you have any questions. I am certainly not an expert but I do love the brushes and the results they create!
You can find our fabulous BLENDING BRUSHES on page 70 in the Mini Catalog! They are so soft and easy to use ~ much better than sponges or sponge daubers ~ you will love them. My next 101 CLASS is on Friday, April 30, at 6 PM in the studio. The class will be small and you will need to bring your brushes with you (or, I may have brushes that you can get as part of the class ~ just let me know). I have four stampers signed up for the class but the class can hold six so if you would like to join us ~ give me a call ~ 641-9354.
In the 101 CLASS you will learn six techniques. The picture below (my studio bulletin board) shows samples of the techniques along with an information card describing the technique and providing some 'how to' hints. You will have the cards and make the samples in class. More information on the 102 CLASS and a PDF for you tomorrow!
The other stamp set used on this card, A GRAND KID, is not retiring. You can find it on page 97 in the current annual catalog and on page 54 in the new annual catalog. The dies, MAGNOLIA MEMORY, are on page 182 and they are retiring along with the stamp set.
I know that you remember this beauty, and perhaps even have it in your collection of favorite stamp sets. GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIA has been a favorite for several years ~ along with a Memories & More Card Pack ~ Magnolia Lane ~ and some very fine DSP with the same title. The stamp set is retiring this year and the other products have retired (but, I have some left of both ~ let me know if you are interested ~ I will package them up for you for the cost of the postage to send them to you or, pick them up, they're FREE!). More fabulous samples ~
