Another reason to visit the Botanical Gardens....

IMG_6187.....is an art exhibit!  The artist is Caroline Garrett Hardy who trained as a printmaker and now works mostly in paper.  She is fascinated, and works with, a variety of different papers ranging from hand-made Japanese papers to throw-away materials like commercial brochures, napkins and restaurant menus.  She has a deep admiration for Japanese artistic endeavors from a trip to Japan in 2012 and I thought you would enjoy seeing some of her colorful creations.  After all, we work in paper too!  Smile.

Beautiful card created by Jennifer Cormack.
To A Wild Rose stamp set, page 15 in the annual catalog is retiring.  I knew you would want to see this outstanding card created by Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Jennifer Cormack, who used the 'no line watercolor' technique.  You can find the coordinating dies on page 183.

EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE.....

IMG_6194

Every once in a while I can't resist veering from the retiring stamp supplies that I want to show you to brag about the beauty at the Botanical Gardens.  Today is one of those days so, if you were expecting some fabulous card ideas, my apologies.  I walked this morning in the Gardens.  One of the reasons was that I knew that my favorite tree, the Snowball Tree (Hydrangea arborescens) , would be in full bloom.  It is definitely a DON'T MISS event.  Amazingly beautiful and because it doesn't last too long in this much GLORY do stop by soon!

And, while I was there I thought these pretty flowers were also worth the trip!  Today is such a fabulously beautiful Spring day ~ take a break, take a walk.  You won't regret it!

From Stampin' Up!

This announcement was sent to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators yesterday and it effects all of us that love crafting with our products.  I wanted you to know as soon as possible and, if you have any questions about these changes, or the reasons for the changes, please let me know.  I can't wait for you to receive the NEW ANNUAL CATALOG ~ please let me know when you do ~ we will have some extra time to enjoy it together!  That's GOOD NEWS!

We’ve recently been made aware that, due to the current global shipping crisis tied to the COVID pandemic, we are not likely to receive the majority of product inventory for the upcoming July–December 2021 Mini Catalog or July–August 2021 Sale-A-Bration in time for preorder. After careful consideration—and in consultation with a group of demonstrator leaders—we have decided to push the launches of both publications back by one month to allow time for inventory to be received. We are sharing this information with you as far ahead as possible so you can adjust your planning and communication with customers and team members.

Change Details

  • The July–December 2021 Mini Catalog will in effect become the August–December 2021 Mini Catalog (though the title of the publication will not change—see third bullet point below).
    • Preorder: 1 July–2 August 2021
    • Customer Sales Period: 3 August 2021–3 January 2022
  • July–August 2021 Sale-A-Bration will in effect become August–September 2021 Sale-A-Bration.
    • Pre-earn: 1 July–2 August 2021
    • Customer Earning Period: 3 August–30 September 2021
  • We are in the final proofing stages of the catalog and Sale-A-Bration publications and will be able to adjust the active dates printed on those items to reflect this change and help limit customer confusion. Please note that we will not be changing the name of the July–December 2021 Mini Catalog (as “July–December” is the official title of the publication)—only the specific active dates listed on the catalog will be changed.
  • Additional transition information will be available toward the end of May in the Catalog Details page under Happening Now on the demonstrator website. We will post a Weekly Update when the information posts.
