Last Saturday several of my team members got together for a shoe box swap in the Cat/Art Studio. Shoe box swap? Yes, each of us created a card and then added all the supplies used into our 'shoe box' so each of us could make the same card. The illustration accompanying the Magnetic Cutting Plate incorrectly includes plate 2. The correct sandwich should be plates 1, 5, and 3. If you’ve experienced difficulty running your sandwich through the machine, please adjust the sandwich accordingly and try again. We are currently working on updating the packaging for future orders; meanwhile, below is the correct diagram for the MAGNETIC PLATE.
Another advantage of joining a monthly STAMP CLUB in the CAT/ART STUDIO ~ a delicious recipe from Patty Pauley in our Thursday morning stamp club. She brought the apple dumplings which delighted all six members of the club (and me ~ and, Alan) and shared the recipe this morning! ENJOY!
APPLE DUMPLINGS
2 cans crescent rolls
2 Granny Smith apples peeled, cored and cut lengthwise in eights
1 cup sugar
1 T. cinnamon
1 ½ sticks butter melted
12 oz Mountain Dew
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl mix sugar and cinnamon and set aside. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll and place in a 9 x 13 pan. Pour a little melted butter over each roll. Sprinkle with sugar/cinnamon mixture and continue layers of butter and sugar mixture until all is used. Pour Mountain Dew over the top around edges of rolls so as not to displace the sugar on each roll. Bake for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
New catalog, new dies. I don't have any of the dies that are featured in this Stampin' Up! video but you can find them in your new annual catalog beginning on page 169. What I do have that arrived yesterday afternoon is the MAGNETIC CUTTING PLATE (#161128, $28.00) on page 157. We used it this morning in my stamp club class and I think it is a great addition to the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. It eliminates the need for washi tape to hold the dies in place when they are being run through the machine to cut different shapes. I'll be interested to see what you think!
I ordered the new tumblers from Stampin' Up! and they arrived this afternoon so I thought I would show you what they look like 'in person'. I think they are even prettier than I thought they might be. They are sitting on one of my shelves in the studio so everyone can check them out. I used the new MASKING PAPER to cover the rose after I used blends to color it. I stamped the rose on the masking paper and cut it out with the corresponding die ~ you'll love this Abby ~ it saves you from fussy cutting when you want to mask! No more sticky notes!!
