The Zoo Continued....

The theme of this sheet of designer series paper is 'Outdoors' and the animals are bird watching, photographing nature, butterfly collecting and even a pig hiking with a back pack!

Outdoors wm (2)

The theme on the card below, and on the DSP, is dancing with all the animals thoroughly enjoying themselves.  This card is much prettier in person.  I used the new Holographic Trio 12" x 12" specialty paper (page 127 AC) for the background and the camera on my phone doesn't do it justice ~ it really is pretty.  In the picture, not so much!  Sorry  about  that.Ballerinas with holographic paper

The stage for the band is easy to create because the curtains and the scallop heading are part of the dies in the set.  The turtle also has a die but the other animals are fussy cut from the designer series paper.  There is one other page that I 'missed' making a card for ~ animals celebrating a birthday.  If you want more information or would like to order this fun paper ~

Zoo Class ~ 2 cards, 3 more tomorrow....

Yesterday's fun event included making five cards using the ZOO CREW COLLECTION.  The bundle includes the stamp set, Zany Zoo, and the dies to match.  In the card below the cute alligator has a die to match ~ but, don't tell Tammy ~ she fussy cut him!!!!

The 12" x 12" designer series paper has six different cute animal designs and you get two of each in the package (which is on sale this month for $10.62 instead of the usual $12.50 (order number 161304).  Each of the six pieces of paper in this suite has a different theme that picture these active animals.  The alligator is part of the 'transportation' theme and the llama, below, joins others in the 'at home' theme.

Basic 3-D Embossing Folders

Basics 3D Embossing Folders Flowers Card Sample

Stampin’ Up!’s 3D embossing folders are wonderful tools for your craft room. Adding a piece of cardstock or DSP that has been embossed using one of the 3D folders to your projects immediately steps up what you’re making by adding deep texture. There are 13 3D embossing folders offered in the new Annual Catalog, plus 3 offered as part of a bundle, called a Hybrid set. In addition to those, don’t forget about products only found on Stampin’ Up!’s online store ( There is another 3D embossing folder pack that are only offered in the online store, called Basics.

Basics 3D Embossing Folders is item # 161598 and sold as a pack of three full folders measuring 4-1/2" x 6-1/4") for $30.  Take a look:

Basics 3D Embossing Folders - 3 Folders
The three designs in this pack are: flowers, hobnail-glass dots, and crosshatch designs. Hobnail glass isn’t quite like a polka dot, so I had to look it up. In case you were curious, here’s the definition:

Hobnail glass has a regular pattern of raised knobs like the hobnail studs sometimes used on boot soles.

Here’s a look at each pattern in cardstock:

It is so easy to use our 3D folders. Just place flat cardstock in the embossing folder, run it through a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using number 1 (the basic platform) and number 4.

Enjoy these folders, and make an “impression” in your crafting!  Happy stamping!
